Thank you all for having us in your forum. Hopefully we can contribute to the discussions here, especially with regard to lighting and spectrum knowledge. For R&D we generally go from clones since it allows us to ensure we are comparing lights and not phenotypes but after seeing some of the things you are all doing here we may have to start playing with autoflowers. We look forward to seeing how the test grow goes with the PhytoMAX and an autoflower by one of your experienced growers.

Hello Growers! Welcome to the launch of our first recorded grow from our PhytoMAX-2 series, featuring the new PhytoMAX-2 400. Over the next two weeks we will share photos documenting what we saw in our first experience with our latest generation of the PhytoMAX series; the PhytoMAX-2. Clocking in at 420 actual watts, the PhytoMAX-2 400 outperforms any comparative 600W HPS bulb while using 35% less electricity. The max flowering footprint has expanded to 4.25’ x 4.25’ (over 18 square feet) while providing the same full spectrum power of the Phyto-Genesis Spectrum® that Black Dog LED has come to been known for. This is the last day of Veg in this 4’ x 4’ tent featuring 9 healthy Super Lemon Haze Cannabis plants ready for flipping to flower cycle.

The best just got even better with PhytoMAX-2!

We’ve kept all the best parts of the PhytoMAX series of lights- the complete, full spectrum from UV to IR, spread evenly over the entire footprint in order to grow all of your plants; not just ones directly under the light. The patent-pending cooling system and fixture design are the same, as well as the safety and reliability.

In creating the PhytoMAX-2 we started by using even-quieter fans that keep the LEDs running at peak efficiency while maximizing longevity. We upgraded the LEDs to the brightest, highest-efficiency LEDs sourced from the best manufacturers in the world, including Cree, Osram, and many others. Utilizing a durable and cleanable glass primary lens on the LEDs themselves, we were able to eliminate the protective glass layer under our LEDs, allowing 100% of each LED’s light to reach your plants. We increased the levels of yellow and green light just enough to make our proprietary Phyto-Genesis Spectrum appear white to the human eye. This change made the use of color-correcting glasses unnecessary when working under the PhytoMAX-2 lights. All of this was accomplished without compromising our growth-maximizing, plant-optimized spectrum. Last but not least, the lights are now made in the USA!

These changes combine to allow PhytoMAX-2 LED grow lights to deliver over 50% more light per watt, providing unprecedented PAR levels, footprint coverage, and yields!

Hello Growers and welcome back to our PhytoMAX-2 400 grow. Today we look at the first day of flower all the way through the first few weeks, up to Day 22. In the spirit of trying new things, we decided to give several techniques introduced to us by Joshua Haupt of “three a light” fame a try, including following their nutrient regimen, as well as their rigorous defoliating process, known as “schawazzing.” The photos show the level of labor it demands, but we’re confident in the strength and resilience of our cannabis plants under our amazing spectrum found only in the PhytoMAX-2. By Day 22 the plants have exploded in growth which is typical in the first few weeks of flower. They’ve been properly staked and raised off the ground using a clear fluorescent light diffuser panel. These plants look ready to put on some serious weight. Follow us as we continue to update the results of this exciting grow’s flower cycle over the next two weeks of posts!
