DAY 10
Added a clip fan to the setup a couple of days ago, on a timer however, it runs for 30 min in every hour. The reason behind this is that I wanted to strengthen their stems as they stretched
. The fluro lights are at a 10cm distance and the girls are liking it. All the plants are green and healthy
.
Roots started protruding through the biodegradable cups! It seems that the roots don't have any problems whatsoever with penetrating these cups and I think that I'm gonna start using them in the future
(NOTE: I did punch holes in them before filling them).
DAY 12
Since the roots started showing I figured it's a good idea to transplant them soon (which in hindsight could've been done at day 15 without a doubt) and that I did on day 12! The Sweet Nurses are a bit yellowish (nothing some Boom Boom won't fix
) but the plants health overall is very good and they're ready to be transplanted.
While I was preparing the potting mix the girls we're put on a window sill to soak up the warm spring sun
. The 5 on the right are the Sweet Nurses and Hyper Ryders.
Meanwhile, I was preparing my Biotabs mix for coco, which goes something like this:
- coco/perlite/worm castings - 50/40/10
- 100 g of Guanokalong powder (1-10-1)
- 100 g of Startrex
- 100 g of Silicium Flash
- 2-3 g of Mycotrex (the newer instructions advise to put all 5g per pot in the planting hole, I like some in my mix )
- 60g of dolomite lime
The doses are greater than advised in the Biotabs instructions, the reason behind this is that the coco I use is inert and is not fertilized. Once the pots are full I dig out a planting hole in which I put 4-5g of Mycotrex and plant the seedling. I've used 3 tablets per pot (2 are advised with Silicum Flash) - same reasoning as before although I think I could get away with 2, especially since I'm going to use PK boosters later in flowering. After the seedlings were planted they got watered with a mix of 5mL Orgatrex, 1g Bactrex and 1mL
Plagron Power Roots (it's bolded because I can't remember if I mentioned that I've used it to water the babies a couple of times already and I think that I'm liking the results) per liter of water.
Unfortunately, forgot to take pics of the process but remembered to do it for the soil girls, so there will be a more detailed review of the mixing in that thread
.
