Dutch Passion Billy Wu's second grow - Think Different (w/CO2 enrichment)

I've slept in on this one Billy!! :pop: Good to have you back dude... Now back to the start for me... :bong:

Hmm... Biobizz's bad batch.... Or so it would seem... Hope you get it ironed out Billy... We all wanna see another MONSTER!!!

Day 15 update

The soil pH still hasn't changed, so I'm mixing more lime into the mix to raise it up. Gotta get the pH problem sorted before the plant decides it wants to be a male one.
On the bright side, my new CO2 regulator valve arrived today! It's working very well. The temperature in the tent is at a consistent 90 degrees Fahrenheit with my extraction fan on 50% power, so I'm constantly adding CO2 to the grow room to keep the levels up. I'll be leaving it at 90 degrees to see how it copes with the increased heat with CO2 supplementation.

The plant is starting to look a bit better now too, it's growing quicker. It took well to it's first feeding :]

Hey dude i think it will be better if u put more soil to fill the pot later. Congratulations for your first grow with TD really big monster.

I don't think I'll be needing any more soil :] I'll be buying some more Biobizz Light/Pro mix though and possibly upgrading to a 25 litre pot later in the grow. Last time, 20 litres was actually too small and my plant got rootbound :[

Update: Gonna be getting some GroTek Cal-Max supplement and also some Advanced Nutrients Big Bud, as well as possibly some Flora Nova to help my plant grow bigger and better :] Got some liquid silicone solution on the way now too, so it can use up more of the CO2 I'm giving it and more of the nutrients I put in.

Edit: Just ordered the GroTek Cal-Max so it should be here in a few days :] Should help with the calcium and magnesium in particular, administering those nutrients can be a pain with all the salts and what not.

Day 18 update

Starting to see a growth spurt now :] Still having pH issues though, so I've started mixing more lime into the mix until it eventually levels out. I'll be mixing 1 teaspoon of lime each watering until it neutralizes, it's still at 5.7 so I've not mixed enough in yet.
There's steady growth, but it's nowhere as good as it'll be once the soil is right. I think the CO2 has been making a difference though.

So as you guys can see, last grow at this point was going a whole lot better. Much more green with no spots or anything, but this crappy soil has been troublesome so far. It should be good within a week I hope with all this extra lime I'm adding :]

Also, is anyone familiar with LED lights? I've found some I was thinking of buying, could anyone tell me if they're any good? They're these ones. I took Groff's advice and decided to go for some Chinese wholesale ones.

Edit: Was also looking at these ones with the 'X2' lenses. Opinions please? :)

Hard to tell bro until someone with experience chimes in... They are 3w like so that's a good start...

Yeah true :] I've already got plenty of orange/white light from the HPS lamp, I was hoping to use the LED lights to provide extra supplemental red and blue waves. I'm finding it hard to decide between getting two of them or just one... They'd be put on the sides of the tent so the light gets to the underside of the plant where it's needed :] Or maybe 1 on the side and 1 on the top.

Go with two bro!! More is better in this respect.. :toke:
