Grow Mediums BHD 600w HPS, CoCo.

Damn she did put on some weight didn't she bro love the long leaves and all that frosty ass nuggs she has just so freakin beautiful.:bone:

Just caught up on this grow Truu!!!

Amazing growth with your recirc coco tech!!!
Looks very promising indeed!!

I am looking at something more along the line of the dutch bucket type system.
Maybe have 12 buckets with a large res, still working it all out.

:peace:

Thanks lazy. In the future I will be trying a 4 plant scrog with coco. I don't think that my setup could handle Anything more than that.

So after one day of feeding full strength kool bloom I can see great results already. She is just swelling up so much. Never have I had such success with my attemps before. I'm quite happy. :hump:

Also, I put in a little clock radio in the room today. Does anyone else play music for their plants? I heard it makes them happier? I know I would enjoy some tunes in the sun.

Seriously cool thread mate - good luck with the chop!

Yes!! I have a 2.1 (used to have a 5.1 lool) stereo system hooked to a small netbook that acts as my "Lab Hub". I do feed them a regular schedule of Ravi Shankar Ragga's, nature sounds, bird sounds, atmospheric and new-age (ug!!) stuff... they seem to love it all right !!

hey Truu, mind giving us some info on your recirc circuit? How do you set it up and run it? What gear? I'm trying to figure out but have no experience.

Damn groff your plants are lovin it I bet. I set it to a classic rock station lol. I figure they might like what I like. I wouldn't mind setting up something like yours. Having something to type on out there would really help me document Feedings and such. I just go by the old brain memory.

Sure I'd love to go through my setup for you, that's what I'm here for anyways.

My DIY setup-
1 - pond pump from a hardware store (or hydro store), I use the 120 GPH pump but I'm only running 1 plant ATM. But it can handle multiple plants.
2 - 5 gallon bucket for the res.
3 - air pump w/ bubble stone
4 - 2 gallon cloth pot
5 - home made table w/ screen (dimensions 15in long x 18in tall x 15in wide). Screen is 1/4" squares.
6 - home made drip ring. 1/4in tubing. connected on both ends of a T with 6 1/8th in. Holes drilled.
7 - plug in timer.

Here is what I built for my table. It's cheap and easy and works perfect. And you can put wheels on the feet so it makes it easy on you.

My setup is pretty simple. You have a res under the plant that sits on a screen. The pump sits in the res connected through a timer. When it's time to feed the pump starts to pump water up to the drip ring that waters the top of the coco. When the water starts to drain out the bottom it falls back into the res :hump: the air stone stays in the res to keep the nutrients moving to keep them from getting stale, and to keep the water oxygenated.

Here is my drawing of the setup.

And here is my plant sitting over the res.

And here is my drip ring sitting on top of the soil. (Drip holes pointing down).

That's pretty much it. It's as simple as that. Works great and makes it real easy to maintain your res. Any more questions and I'd be glad to answer them!

I do I do !! How do you control the intensity of the drip?

Back to music, I wouldn't advise rock. I am a rocker myself, but the girls go by another flow of consciousness. Have you ever heard of Dr. Masaru Emoto? It sounds like hocus-pocus but the experiment has been replicated numerous times. You can even do some of them at home yourself, spooky stuff.

He projected emotions onto a glass of water and the froze it and microscopically photographed the crystal formation. There is a full documentary on the mystery of water (and that water has memory) that is just mind-blowing. In there, you can see what rock does to water solidification... not very nice. The harmonics created by distorted guitars follow odd and even patterns that are not very natural, in fact quite the opposite. Euphonically pleasing to us 20th century humanoids, but an insult to the laws of pure harmonic resonance.

I'd gladly play them QOTSA and what not, but Beethoven, new-age carp, ragga's, acoustic instruments, etc... thats where its at.

Check this out for a quick preview.

So to chill out, rock it out, but then leave the girls with something to "meditate" on

Awesome stuff groff. I think I remember reading about what your talking about once before. I'm def going to try and get some good tunes in there. And what you're saying defiantly makes sense. Mother Nature is all about harmony and peace. Not guitars and drugs!

I do not control the intensity of the drip. I just let the pump run for 15 min. I've never measured how much water goes through the pot, but I'm thinking its around 1.5 gallons. Allowing a good flush every feeding. It's been working great!
