Just to chime in.

I've used this method for years, it works well for me.

Take your bud, remove it from the stems, take off as much leaf as you can. Take 4 attached sheets of toilet paper. Split it half, so you have 2 attached sheet and 2 attached sheets. Fold over one of them so you have a sheet on top of a sheet and put that on top of a plate. Put your bud on top of the paper on the plate.

Next, fold over the other sheet in the same way and put it over the top of the buds. Make sure you can see the raised area where the buds are under the paper. Next take a glass of water and dip your fingers into it and drop the water on top of the top sheet where the bud is. Do this until you have that whole little area where the buds under wet.

Put this into the microwave on medium - medium full on 30 second runs. When the 30 seconds up open the top sheet, turn the bud, replace the top sheet and put in for 30 seconds again. Repeat until your buds dried.

Out of all of the quick dry methods I've used this is the best. It tastes somewhat like how your weed will taste and will give you a fair idea of its potency. Best of all it can be done in under 5 minutes. I'm one of those growers that needs to leave all the little buds and every thing on the plant so I have something to pick at while its growing, I do this a lot. It hasn't failed me yet.

IF its for personal use, water cure them. This takes VERY little space, gives BEST results. The plant material goes freshly into the water and is ready to come out within 3-7 days. The soaked bud takes anywhere from 0.5 - 1.5 days to totally dry through as about 80% of the plant material is not in the bud anymore.. (this is the purest bud you can get). No psychoactives leave the bud, unless you are forcefull with how you handle the bud and trichomes actualy ditatch. I can write-up a complete walkthrough if you wan't. Just keep in mind that this method takes away more weight than air drying and makes the bud will loose most taste, most smell, it changes color to something much darker (especialy if done patiently). I would say its nearly like kief on a stick. All in all, this is much healthier and tokes much more viciously..

tell me more, now! please... :D

I've seen this method done, and it does work, so long as you are careful not to vape the trichs lol.. I've also taken pics of (early cropped) bud dried using this method and smoked them too.

The taste and potency do not seem to be effected much by microwave drying, and as far as visible trichs on the finished product go there are still plenty... I'd jump down to 20 sec runs tho lol... either that or suck lungfuls of air when you're opening the microwave door lol.

yeah I meant to say keep the power on medium - low, but hey, Microwave vaporiser! It's a great method indeed, I'm surprised more people don't use it. I guess people are so used to weed tasting like shit when its quick dried they can't believe something else works well.

Now, this technique is so interesting because i can get dry buds in less than 36 hours, and the final product is not so much worse than correctly dried buds. Actually i didnt see any difference at all.

I'm grateful for this post, your quick-dry method sounds much better than what I had planned. Was going to just add a drying shelf in my grow tent above my light rig, which after perusing the Harvesting & Curing Forum sounds like a really bad idea. I will post back with my results, I'm going to try using this product inside a sealed cardboard carton... DampRid 16 oz. Mositure Absorber W/Activated Charcoal

I have a question, what if you hooked up one of those split-type Temp/Humidity monitors so that you could monitor the conditions without having to open the box... Based on the 36 hours of drying time, what would be the humidity range where you would terminate the drying and begin curing in jars?

Thanks - RF
