OLD REVIEWS Barney's Farm Sweet Tooth Auto Does NOT Auto!! It's a Photoperiod!!

I agree with you Andy however, I have had issues with Barney's seeds before and every time I was offered free seeds on my NEXT order. So essentially I have to buy MORE to get what I'm owed... That's the shit I don't like. If I get a bag and it's short, it better be dealt with then and there, not offered to give you more "next time". That's pretty much the same deal. If all these people complain they should handle things on their business end then get their money back or whatever the deal was with Barney's or whatever seed bank is doing the shady deal. If I had a bean site that's how I would handle the situation. Not short the consumer and let the middle man (insert bean site here) and breeder (original problem maker) still make their money and not take a loss.

Also, I don't understand how a breeder can release their beans for full price and NOT have the be 100% Autoflower! That's the greediest shit I can think of! Also, pretty arrogant if you ask me!

I hope everyone's Auto ST auto! But, since I was 4 for 4 (one didn't germ) Photoperiod I'm not looking forward to the mass disappointment when these babies don't Auto...

Sweet Tooth Pics

bad one... veg for 2 weeks n flower, shouldnt lose to much time that way..

hey WVR.. did they stay small(autolike) or have they grew to a photo-type size?? any pics??? im ever so curious.. barneys farm have got some cool genetics but seem to have developed overnight.. i wonder if any of there breeders are on here to tell us how strong the genetics are..???

Sorry I missed this question and the one below it asking for pics... Let me first explain that these girls vegg'd for 5 weeks because I thought they were Autos. So after 5 weeks and nothing I put them to 12/12.

Here's them at 5 weeks

Well here goes...

Hello to all and greetings from the Emerald Isle...first things first please be patient as im relatively new to this shit ,well its been 3 yrs since my last grow (Cali Orange Bud) and im looking for some advice as regards to my new adventure...i've just got a 3 pack of Sweet Tooth Auto from Barney's farm from my buddy and i started to do some research and first stop is barney's.com where i read the strain review and i'm grining like a chesire cat ...easy to grow , up to 200 grams per plant of sweet tasteing high yielding bud ...that's until i come across AFN and i see there's a problem with the said beans so my smile slowly disapears , but i keep reading the thread by WVR and it turns out cool in the end (as far as i can see) so i gots me a couple of Q's?

*(1) is it really all that bad if their not auto's ? should i just switch to 12/12 after say 4 weeks ?

*(2) is 20.4 better than 18.6 ?? Soil or Hydro ?? Should i clone them there after to keep things perpetual ??

thanks in advance ...lovin the site i've learnt so much already

Thumbs down for Barney's Farm

Shortstuff seeds, and Dinafem for the win :)

... and yeah, you can switch the veg process. but i would veg them for a little longer.
... 12/12 should be good, but ive heard of people doing 18/6 16/8 for flowering. I like 12/12 tho. Soil or Hydro should be good, but id lean to Hydro if youre going to clone them. If you have the $$ for soil id def grow in soil (love soil :))

Hey Sean! Nice to meet ya Mate and welcome to Never Never Land! O.K. to answer your ?'s...

1) It's not bad if they are Photos. Only trouble is when you are PLANNING for Autos 60 days is WAAAY different that nearly 4 months! That was the problem. No meds, not good! I vegg'd mine for 5 weeks (they do get BIG so plan on needing a lot of space if you're veggin' for more than 4 weeks) I veg my photos for a min. of 4 weeks. 5 weeks + is really up to the strain or how big I want it. They will triple in size once you put them to 12/12. Plan on at least 2 months for flowering to finish. At least...

2) I started my first ever grow on 18/6. Didn't like my results... Switched to 20/4. After a year I'm convinced 20/4 is the only way to go veggin' autos or photos. You'll get differences on opinion between soil and hydro. I'm a soil grower. I've never grown Hydro. Up to you really then just research what strikes you and go from there. Cloning is also up to you... I've never cloned either so that would have to be a question for a better cloner lol. I've wanted to but never have.

Hope this helps bro... Best of luck to ya! :smokebuds:

Hey other seedbanks barneys farm sweet tooth auto did not auto, so the blame lies with barneys farm, most seedbanks are discontinuing the sale of this seed stock, some of the blame also lies with attitude marketing these seeds as a discount to make their money back instead of being honest and halting the sale of falsely advertised seeds. ANYWAYS dont buy these seeds you will be wasting your money and i hope someone at barneys farm reads this and corrects the wrong in which they are at fault.

Yep, I've come across a couple of places where the price has been lowered, not very honest. I wouldn't say it's a complete waste of money however, the original Sweet Tooth won some Cannabis Cup awards and is supposed to be pretty good. The one Sweet Tooth Auto (non-auto?) that I've got going is growing fast and looking very healthy. I've got it isolated in a small closet so even if it doesn't auto I can go 12/12 on it in a couple of weeks and hopefully get a good yield. The only downside is that it probably won't finish up as quickly as an auto would.

Hmmm!!! i get ya now WVR 60 days Versus 4 months is a lot lot longer .....2 yields longer actually!! i got a UltraSkunk bean and a Shining Silver Haze bean from my buddy , gonna do 1 sweet tooth with these two their both photo's not sure if they're fem either so if aanything else happens il SCREAM!! probly should start lookin at proven auto's after that....im gonna copy your poly cup method in coco mix then teir them into a perlite pro-mix or somthin like that.....thanks again il try get sum pics up soon after they hatch and sprout i just have a cupboard at the moment

:thumbs:WVR & vedder

Bonequicha I totally agree! The fault indeed lies with Barney's Farm and I will drop them a line as well. However, seedbanks like Attitude & Herbie's should pull them immediately and try to make amends with their customers. Then handle it with Barney's Farm to get their money back or whatever. The smoke was pretty good but I've had more potent Autos honestly... So I don't know if it's worth the price honestly.

Skydog sounds like a good plan! It will definitely take longer but the buds were pretty thick, dense, and numerous, and you should get a good yield either way!

Cheers Sean! Best of luck! If you need anything let us know! :smokebuds:

Ok guys I am on day 27 of my sweet tooth grow and my plants are very stunted BUT when I went to check them today one of them has little white hairs so that does mean it's auto right? They've been under 20/4 light cycle the entire time.
