Hello p.l.u.r!

Thanks for the nice comments. I would love to see a pic or two of the uk cheese.

I will be sure to keep this thread going, and post a smoke report once cured. ;)

I thought I was crazy earlier when I smelled the PC and it had a faint odor to it. I let me brother (who does not partake) smell and he too said it was smelly.
No flowers and a smell already, is this normal?

And yet another question...

It is a gorgeous 78 degree sunny day here. Is it a bad idea to set the girls out to soak up some rays and let the ol' HPS take a day off?

its all good bro,

thanks for posting up your grow, i would love to have seen the uk cheese, unfortunatly that has been grown cropped and probably all sold too, i was lucky enough to get a few grams of him.. my mate is growing a little cheese, ill try get some pics off him tonight..

well i kinda have mixed views with the early smells, i allways use to grow photo strains and when they smelled early 80% of the time they were males.. but my last plant was a auto(maxi gom) and it started to smell just as she started to show sex. i see your roughly on 20 days-ish, Maybe its now going to tell you that it is a female.. :booya:

ill keep watching bro as i want to do some form of auto cheese outside this year, i want to find that uk cheese smell and taste in an auto..

peace..

imo, dont do it.. you may shock them and stunt there growth.. plus it raises the chance of getting bugs in the growroom once you put em back..

get yourself out there and leave your plants inside..lol..

Well, I guess I should have asked and then done. ;(
I have already put them on the deck. They look amazing out in natural lighting.. I guess I should go ahead and bring them back inside?

experimentation is the key to success!! your outdoor environment could be better than inside, if so it could be beneficial.. bugs can be dealt with inside, but really we should try not to let them in if we can help it..
this is your grow though mate, i can only tell you from experience iv had and everybody's situation is different..

i cant remember the last time it was hot and sunny, if i put a plant outside it would not like it to much..

peace..

Thanks p.l.u.r.!

This morning the girls look AMAZING! At least 2cm of vertical growth since this time yesterday morning. And talk about bushy, they are throwing on tons of new foliage. I really do believe that putting them out for 6 hours yesterday made a difference.

Now for the bad news. I noticed two small places on the PC where some sort of bug bored a hole through two leaves. I used a scalpel to cut these areas out, today you cant really tell anything happened. :)
Also, the yellow striations in the LC have started to darken back out to normal green.

I have my camera, so I will post pictures sometime today. :)

Today I have decided that I am going to have to look deeper into ventilation and odor control. My brother came into the room this morning and said "it smells like you are growing in here, Mmmm....Plants".
So I need some assistance with this. I think that I have a basic idea down, but it may need some refining.

For starters I will go over the growspace again. The entire closet is roughly 48"x20"x96". I have made the growspace roughly 46"x20"x60" and the space above is used for storage. I am using two 150 watt HPS fixtures, one 110 watt compact T5 fixture and a 110w LED fixture.
So I am basically dealing with a little less than 40 cubic feet of space with 520 watts of lighting (300 of which are HPS). I have been considering using a scrubber carbon system for odor control, and venting into the attic for heat control.

What equipment do you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance.

My space is 54x54x84 inches interior. I use a 435 CFM 6 Inch Centrifugal Inline Fan placed in attic, ducting running through tent to hood and then to the Phat 20x6 450 CFM Carbon Filter. A few others on the forums were just talking about http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com and how much we love the low prices, product avail, customer service, all around great place to check out. Remember, always shop around.

Ah, phone call and lost train of concentration. AHH Must jet, talk to ya later on!

I think a 4" fan and filter should be sufficient for that space. How are your temps holding? If you're having trouble holding the temps down the the HPS lights you might need to step up to a 6".
