Thanks PD!

I have been looking at a digital microscope by Carson, called the zOrb. Any comments on this?

Well, I watered the girls this morning. The soil was bone dry and the pots light as a feather. So I drenched them.

They look super nice in the morning sunlight. They are so top heavy now that I cannot imagine them fattening up anymore. Do they really tend to put on the most weight in the last two or three weeks? If this is the case, I might have to tie up branches to keep them from snapping. Has anyone here ever had to do this?

Thanks for any advice!

The cheap loupes and magnifiers work real well. The microscopes are difficult to take a quick peek on the run. Here are a couple just plug into Amazon--the first doesn't reflect back too much light and is my preference. Both inexpensive less than $4.00.

Thanks AS!

I am going to "invest" in one of the Jewelers Loupes for sure. I can see where this would be nice when in a hurry.
That said, it would be nice to be able to take snapshots of the magnified object. That is where the microscope I mentioned would be nice....I think.

Well, this morning the little cheese is looking amazing. The Cola just keeps getting taller and taller..
The purple cheese (which has been ahead the entire grow) is starting to get some discoloration on the largest fan leaves. The spine is turning brown and the blades are starting to yellow on about five of the largest leaves. All the smaller leaves still are bright and green. Is this how the maturation process typically occurs?

Thanks

I've had situations where I've had to support the buds that got too heavy. Bamboo poles work great. Stick some down into the soil along the edge of the pot and tie off to them.

Yes, as they start to finish up the larger fan leaves will start to yellow and eventually will completely yellow and die off. That process will continue on to the secondary fan leaves, and eventually the bud leaves. The buds will continue to grow and can put on significant weight during those last 2-3 weeks while they feed off the fan leaves.

Thanks Muddy!

I'm going to have to start looking into some sort of support for the larger buds.

Thanks AB!

I am really stoked to be having such success. I really was not planning on getting a harvest from my first grow. I was looking at it as a learning experience more than anything. But look how that turned out.

Note to anyone doubting their cannabis growing skills............ anyone can do it with a decent amount of attention to detail and helps from AFN... they call it weed for a reason....

Well I have some exciting news!

Last night I started my new growroom expansion!!

Well got all of the metal framework for the walls up and now I just need to get it insulated and and door/locking system in place.

What I have done is built an entire new room inside one of my current buildings. I am now working with approx. a 10' x 6' space :)

I have already decided that I am going to be going all out on this. Before, I was not sure how my skills would stack up with cannabis growing. But now I am hooked and want to have a very nice CLEAN space to grow my plants and do some veggin' of my own ;).

I am so excited I can hardly put it into words. This is going to be awesome. Plus it will be beyond secure. No chance of any odor (fully sealed and insulated) escaping and two locked doors....

Basically I want my own Cannabis Laboratory and that is what I am aiming for.

I post some more specs soon... back to work.. for now..... :)

It would be cool if you could document the build out. I have a shed that I dream about doing something like this with.
Need to get a run or two under my belt first though.

It sounds exciting.
