Hi all,

Started another grow not so long ago. My largest plant is a Super Cali Haze I started outdoors during the summer, and is now finishing flowering under my LEDs with my other younger plants (there has been no outdoor contamination). Unfortunately this girl is looking a little bit scraggly even though It should as a pure sativa anyways, and a few of the leaves are drying out and falling off (I suspect due to high temperatures of about 28C) but nevertheless the buds are filling relatively nicely and do smell good. This was more of an experiment plant and never really expected much from it.

About a month ago I planted a Diesel C99 and a White Sirius into a Coco and Perlite mix (my first time using coco), and they have both been doing well other than some minor issues ive been battling with that maybe some of you can help me with. Was a rookie error, but I started them in smaller pots and had to transplant, and when transplanting the Diesel 99 I accidentally ripped half its root mass out, hence its a bit behind the White Sirius.

Im used to hydro, but am not sure what is causing my plants to burn like they are. PPM is roughly at about 400, and they are being watered every 2- days or so (until soil is dry). The White Sirius especially I think is growing phenomenally, it has more white hairs than I have seen on any other plant for its age and its stem structure is so solid, and is just about to begin stretching. I've also never seen so much pre-flower at this stage of growth. Despite this, it is still showing nutrient burn signs on the leaves, but at the same time seems to have a Nitrogen deficiency by looking at leaf discoloration??

Could anybody advise what the issue could be? A though i've had is either the PH is off, or with high temps its causing the plants to drink more which in turn makes them drink more nutes causing them to burn?

Ive also just popped a 2nd Diesel 99 (I love this strain so much, such a pleasant smoke.... thank you Muddy for sending!!! and thank you Stitch for breeding <3) One of my my last Diesel 99's seeded up a bit, so taking advantage of it and using one of my home grown seeds :)

Many thanks all :)

Small update. I believe the problems I was having was due to the PH, and my pen not being properly calibrated. Gave both the young ones a full flush, and since watered with correct PH water/nutes.

I dont think i've mentioned what nutes im using so here it goes:

Base:
General Hydroponics 3 part Flora series
(Veg, Micro, Bloom)

Additives:
Roots Excelulator, Rhyzoflora's Terpinator, and AN's Bud Candy.

The young ones are currently around 400ppm, and have PH set to about 6.0.

As you can see the White Sirius is going a beautiful purple tinge, and considering its age I can only imagine this will increase. Please excuse all the nute burn! hopefully that will be sorted soon :)

Hey bambud, nice work if not as amazing as your truly masterful connosseuir, eye poppin and truly record setting DWC think different! !!!!! Woahhhhhhh shit man!!!! Sick as bam, sick as f@#k.
Im doin think different in 20ltrs coco and I flushed them with 20 ltrs of ph'd, de-chlorinated water at 5 days above ground because I tested the 20% run off and they were over 8ph and 11.8EC like 900ppm, pure lime for god sake. This was because wen I first watered them in, I didn't
take the hardwater 400ish ppm into account so it kinda slowed them a few days. But after I fluflushed them, the run off was 1.2Ec/600ppm and 6.0ph.
Basically, the r/wool, pebbles dwcs growth is proper rapid like aquafarms ! But the coco isn't quite as quick until ur rootzones nicely established and this is built steadily with 1/8 strength feed but with 2ml/ltr of rhizotonic.
What root juice are u using cuz these can piss about ur rootzones ec and ph balance.

Anyways pal, luved your DWC wizardry and you should carry that on cuz u really had every factor precisely dialled in!!!! Top respect and TOP KARMA, fellow uk warrior! Peace

Im using house and Garden coco line but I don't rate their excellurater, proper over priced and hyped up ! Rhizotonic by canna is the untouchable top dawwwwwggg root treatment, its especially exceptional with coco.
I checked earlier on my 7td's by gently digging away the top of the coco to check for the roots and already the furry, white feeders are to the edges of their pots, on the hunt for more ground.
to completely colonize with the good microbial organisms.
Honestly bambud, get rhizo every time.

If you can, have a look at my nutrients thread and il keep subd to ur coco grow and we can compare growth rates, feeding schedules etc

Not looking for a fight, but I will have to disagree. Purely speculative and bias. I could say something to the contrary, but not looking to provoke anything or anyone. Instead of making a statement of your favorite, try making a list of the top 3 and just say you prefer brand X. If you have scientific proof of Rhizo being better, then post up the link. But if not, speculation. Give people options. Sounds like you work for them and spamming their products.

Sorry man dont mean to sound bias or like their employee, lol but from experience of using them both, I believe rhizo out performs excellurater. (My opinion from experience with them both).
Anyway im not promoting anything for any company, just to make that clear, I was only tryin to help!

Thanks for the replies.

your setup looks awesome spliffy, will tag along and help when I can, seems like you have a similar setup to what I had. And cheers for the compliments :) always nice to hear!

This is the first time im using any sort of roots booster, but i did some research online and the feedback seemed to be almost everyone saying the one true king of root boosting nutrients were the ones from House & Garden. Its a little expensive (like £30 for a small bottle) but you only need like 3ml per 100L. Still too see the results but so far seems to not be killing my plants!

I hear what you say about the ph being offset by it, I'll keep an eye out for it, cheers for the advice. This is the first time ive grown in a medium rather than hydroponics so i've made a few mistakes, such as the nutrient burn you can see, and at the same time had nutrient lockout for having wrong ph. And on top of all that they are going to be little dwarves as I started them in small pots and replanted which stunted their growth... even though I had already heard so many people say not to do this, you really never learn till you mess it up yourself.

This is the roots booster i use, its called Roots Excelulator by House & Garden:

Some piccies now, as you can see they are short little things, but going a beautiful colour and smell amazing, The White Sirius has a surprising amount of bud on it considering they are still veging. I have a feeling this is going to be a killer plant once it get a bit bigger.

Again please excuse the nute burn! I think of got it under control now and should see some nice greenery growing.

:)
