You'll find you have less need of Flushing. I think it's because the feed gets distributed more evenly over the Coco.
I'm going to experiment on my next Auto water having my last feeding of the day flooded significantly more than the few that go before it. I'm going to see if that keeps my Coco from building up any salts. I use the Halo ring so I think I might be able to pump out enough water to do that.
Baby blue is coming along great mate good call on adding the 2-3in of hydroton/clay pebbles, this will definitely help to reduce any pest issues and will give your watering a better dispersal over the medium whilst adding a bit of extra o2 into your feed as it pours over the pebbles
