lights are cool tubes and temps stay around 25 degrees C.

what is the pH of the cubes , i know folks hear me talk about this a lot but at that stage its what its all about
the young plant needs only correct water and light at this point. Once she gets into real fans then shell need food
but its so important to have those elements correct at the start.

I am yet to purchase a ph meter and adjuster.
I was told from the guy at Te hydro shop that our water is good enough to just soak the cubes for a day and get cracking.. No need to ph adjust.
Does it look like the ph is the problem?

I think that spraying could cause them heat stress under that 600... they also look like they are stretching a bit for the light to me, I would have had a lower wattage light closer with a fan blasting to keep the heat down (but thats a personal thing mate)

on one of those pics it looks like there's burn on the tips... did you put nutes in your water to germ these ??

I'm with FD on the pH. Yellowing in young leave can be from a lack of N. If the pH is off then it could be locked out and not being taken up by the seedlings.

cheers muddy, good to see ya mate

@evln00b, The heat stress could be a factor, but not this time. With the stretch going on i dont think its heat. Lights are too far away for the magnifying effect.
if it was infact heat then they would be more crispy brown than yellowing.

N is a major factor to them like corn, with out it they wont start right N is easy to lock out, and starting with tap water was a bad idea.
He may have good water at his location but what is it coming out of YOUR tap. Try getting them in some balanced cubes and then
get the light a little closer with some fans blowing in between and things should be ok.

Thanks for the advice ppl.

Bought a ph meter.. Ph of my tap water is 6.

Only tap water used to germ no nutes.

I had the nft reservoir filled ready for transferring.. Adjusted the ph of the res to 5.5 and transferred the babies into the system.. Timed the pump to run 15 mins on 45 mins off.. Was hoping this would adjust the ph of the cubes.

Plants are now starting to wilt.. Most likely due to over watering.??

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have turned the pump off completely as cubes feel too wet.

This is my first grow.. Have grown a small plant in the past but not as many as I am attempting now.
