Update

Going to call this Day 0

The first "Purple Stilton" seed died at birth (as previous post), so 2 more were sown directly to soil as replacements

I have managed to get 1 to pop her head (only just)

Below is a photo of four germed seeds (different seed banks & strains). Purple Stilton (top right).

These are my backup seeds at germination, 30/01/2019.

I may be surprised and the second backup seed still pops, but not looking good on that front as yet (photo below).

But stranger things have happened, so I will let seed 2 sit a bit longer in the starter pot and just hope she is late to the party.

Don't worry bro, I did the same thing on my last grow. I almost overprepared the details, and had everything ready for this EPIC GROW, and then fate stepped in and decided to throw me multiple curve balls. The entire grow was kind of sabotaged, but in the end, I learned something new and the grow eventually yielded decently.

Don't worry, this is just the universe throwing you a curve. I know you'll knock it out of the park anyway. I am watching regardless!!

Got a dream berry originally looking by Sunday but one isnt showing life try but if it dosent I'll plant converting else just not for the grow battle... just probably something from a different company... maybe... not sure, knowing my luck id plant it and the dreamberry will pop

Update Day 1

I am calling this Day 1 (easy to remember - Feb 1st), although the seeds showed their heads above ground around the 30th Jan

Today I transferred some of the baby seedlings into their final autopot setups.

From here in, this grow journal posts and photos will be mainly restricted to my Autoseeds grow (and battle),

The other plants I am growing in the same tent, alongside this grow (Bomb Seeds, Zamnesia & Seedstockers), can be found in their respective Seed Banks areas.

However, there may be the need for some group or tent shots now and again.

I am growing under Autocobs, and at present have 1 over each seedling potted up.

Here is one of the group shots I was talking about.... to demonstrate setup etc

I am using the Pulse unit to monitor this grow, as it was very successful in my last grow.

Current Tent Conditions & Environment

Soil:- Canna Pro Plus with added Perlite, Pebbles, Charge & Microhaze

Feed:- Ph'd Tap Water with a dash of Roots Excelsior & Mammoth P

Environment:- Grow tent, Temp 26c(ish), Rh 60%(ish)

I have another Purple Stilton, still germinating, that will be transplanted to a final pot later (all being well).

For the next few days the lights will be on 24/0, but will be changing to 20/4 later.

Calling out to @CannaZone Tier 1 as some may have missed this and be interested (still a few seats left)

Ok, good...back on track.

I am interested in your medium choice and the nutes you use. I have been growing in coco for years, and I am considering growing in soil, with some more organic nutes, or at least less chemical usage anyway.
I like that your style seems to be somewhere in the middle. Soil, but using some nutes.

I will be watching and seeing what you do. Thanks man, and good luck!Passing one over to you, although I a man in Mauritius right now, and it looks like the best country ever to grow in, the plant is no where to be found. Too bad...

I always have grown in soil, using "Canna Plus Pro" with added Perlite & washed pebbles. It serves me well and is reasonably easy to keep in the desired Ph range.

The nutrients I use have been tested and proven over my last 8 or so grows, they always work well for me.... I did a full blown review of them a while back, you may find it interesting, it has a lot more detail about them, and a number of grow pics of different plants I used them on. >>> Link Here <<<

At planting (potting up) I include some additives, just hand mixed into the fresh soil, root related stuff, such as:- "Roots Excelsior" & "Charge", with a little "Plant Magic Microhaze"..

I also add "Mammoth P" at the applicable dosage, to all my reservoir fills/ feeds.

I use Autopots linked to a reservoir and have never had the Nutrients block any pipework, filters etc.... So all good with that too.

Thanks Frogster! The more info the better. I am trying to make the jump from Coco and hydro nutes in my AutoPots to soil and more organic style elements. I am researching BioTabs as a possibility as well. Suoersoil takes a little too long for my liking to prepare. I need to harvest before June 1, and I won't be able to get this grow going for another two weeks, so just trying to do my homework on all the options. I really like your grows, and your buds always look dank.

Update

I am sad to report that 2 out of 3 Autoseeds "Purple Stilton" have failed to germinate.

I have no idea why that should be, as 8 seeds (various strains and seedbanks) planted at the same time, same soil, same tent, same conditions, etc, have all germed OK

All I can put it down to is a bad batch of seeds .

Disappointing, as this was one strain I really really wanted to work & try..

I still have 1 germed Purple Stilton seed that seems to be doing OK, will have to make do with that.
