Autoflowers Not Growing !!

How far is it from the ladies? Your light, that is.

The lights about 18-19 inches away i had it closer right on top of them but they didn't seem to grow much than i moved it and a little growth but not much they have about a month left im having second thoughts in keeping them ! :help:

Whats the ph of the run off? I've had a couple of plants do this too me. what soil did you use?

My thought is that the soil is either too rich or has some sort of fertilizer (possibly organic) in it ... sure looks like good dirt and your temps are fine ... 250 watt CFL should do the job unless it's old or the wrong spectrum ... if you're in Florida and have an outdoor space I'd put it outside, in the ground and free up your indoor space for another try ... I use Lamberts Organic Garden Soil (Home Depot) mixed 50/50 w/ Perlite ... works great !! Would you have a link to the two soils you used ?

how often are you watering and how dry does it get. early stages you dont need much water, you just need them to be able to find some somewhere in the pot not to be soaked in it constantly, this aint hydro and theres no bubbler. the roots need oxygen too for healthy growth or they start to rot slightly and dont work properly.
this is all assuming its that, but if youre in a hot area they might dry out quick it just sounded like alot of watering for plants so small in pots that big(5gal?).
i would let them dry out a bit.
just a guess anyway.

they look healthy anyway and everything else sounds good enough to me.
do you have ventilation/airflow into that area?

On the one hand, they look healthy. They aren't stretching or growing spindly and so no one can say that the light is too far away. And yet, that is a pretty small amount of growth for 20 - 24 days under artificial lighting.

Is that a grow-bulb rather than a "house" bulb? I don't know a thing about CFL...but somehow that plant looks hungry for more light. It wants some other colours than just flat white...

You say your temp is always 80...is that the temp for the heat coming from the bulb? If so, then I won't suggest moving the plants closer...

I would suggest that it is a lighting issue. I wonder if you can add another light of some sort...something that gives warmer colours...

Anyhow, don't kill them. They are doing the best they can with what you have provided for them. You might only need to move them closer to the light or position your light in a different way.

I saw a pic of a 3 foot fluorescent tube merely laying against the wall like this: /I
and the dude had his plants between the light and the wall---and he grew some fat, killer buds!

EDIT---Well, whilst I was writing this post, you posted the fact that your light is 18 - 19 inches away...and that you had moved it closer with no improvement...that suggests to me that the light is missing the "grow" spectrums...but since I don't know if even such a thing is possible, I wish you good grow karma and hope someone truly knowledgable stops by and gives you some helpful advice.:toke:

if it is 250 equivelant watts then that might be it but it looks like a big one..
always go by actual use when talking about cfl. the rest is marketing and not accurate.

And also the light is a brand new one and this is what i feed them once !

Ive had autos got into pretty much suspended animation or dormant when they are small. But then out of nowhere they just took off like a rocket and out grew their siblings. Idk why they did it but they did and I was just as confused about it as you. None of then ended up stunted either, they grew into normal happy males and females just quite a bit later than the others. I think youre good bro
