Lighting Autocob grow with big sm0 and mephisto.

It almost seems that in general there is about 2x (100%) PAR-referenced difference between comparable AutoCOB and conventional LEDs consumption in watts (2 x AutoCOB watts = LED watts), with about that much difference in efficiency, or maybe more. For example, if I want to replace current LEDs that draw 640 watts, would 5 AutoCOBs (275 watts) or 6 (near exactly 1/2 wattage of what I seek to replace, 330 watts) be appropriate?

If you had 640 wall watts with epistar or brigelux brand leds you would have 124 par watts assuming 20% efficiency. With these cobs at 50% you would need 5 cobs drawing 275 watts to equal similiar light hitting the plants. With a much better spectrum in the cobs. 640 watts is also on the high end for the leds since they also have fans drawing power and less efficient drivers. Most are production LED drivers are around 80-90% vs the meanwell which is 95% efficient.

Lol, i did! The tiger hiding in the corner of your jungle. You got it so thick in there bud

:crying:

Fukin beautiful!
Thanks dudeski. I am definitely impressed so far but also having fun. It was a little extra work hanging the 4 cobs initially but now that I'm able to adjust them and move them around I really think they are benefiting greatly from it.

The individual cobs give so much flexibility! I just love the ability to manipulate them. Just an fyi, i will be hitting up your brain with a pm, probably tomorrow. Technical question, i may have a problem. Plus its about time for me to get on the autocob train too.

I have way to many plants going. Luckily I don't have to worry about lighting lol. Sour livers are off to a good head start.
