I'm going to be alternating some photoperiods in from time to time. I'm guessing I could run 4 outer lights and 1 in the middle. I usually run 4-5 plants at a time.
No they are under 4 cobs now. 220 watts in total. I started with 2 than added the third and fourth when the plants needed it. I'm trying to figure why these are growing so rapidly. Maybe I have been over lighting my plants in the past but this is far better than any of my recent grows up to this point.
This is essentially what I'm trying to figure out. Do I pack 16 cobs in there with dimmers, or do I put 4-6 of your lights in there and call it a day. If I'm not mistaken anything past 1,000 PPFD is useless to a plant without co2.
to hit those high numbers you would need a lot of cobs from what you told me in the past. Big lights are more cost effective. But again with the benefits of singles you won't have the hot spots and from a tight configuration. Or be limited to their stock wattages. One of my favorite things is being able to space out and adjust the lights as the plants get bigger over time.
Height of the lights is between 16 and 20 inches.
This may be farther away than recommended since each plant is getting a little overlap from the other lights too.
The space is a 4x4 which is very common. They should be in a bigger spot than this but I'd like to keep this simple. My goal is only 1lb from 4 plants under 220 watts. Which will be just over 2 grams per watt.
