Brand name coco should not need rinsing/flushing, in fact Botanicare reccomends against it, as its pre-washed and pre-charged with buffers, you'll just wash out the buffers it comes with. If you start in the coco directly, make a small hole and fill it with worm castings as a precharge! Works like a charm!

Yeah I'm thinking Ph was your issue too and not so much salts from coco! Ph in coco must be strict, you should always maintain 5.85-6.10 I try shoot in-between 5.96 +/- .05 using ATC(automatic temperature control)Ph meter. for sure 7.7 way to high for coco,to high for soil even. so yeah ph one of the most important things to keep in check IMO, to me if thats in check everything else should be as well.

Yeah well I agree & dissagree on that, i don't rinse/flush like you would normally, but I do give just until it runs clear. more or less i mentioned about rinsing because someone had mentioned that to someone else and i mentioned what i thought they meant
