The sac your talking about comes off back to front. After that sac is taken off the leaves that are white can spread and start to turn green. I started growing when I was young. So I was curious what was inside so I would rip seeds apart if they didn't crack. I lived in the country. So back then no net no cell phone . no nothing but imagination and bikes lol. So I got pretty good at it and figured out I could take a week off by cracking them ripping the sac off and getting get going.

actually I have no clue about what i'm talking about, I just am told and have read about a membrane attached to inside of shell & contents and you can damage the seedling. I can relate why you do or have done, that makes since to me... I guess if I was in same situation maybe I'd be doing the same, trust me I'm not saying your wrong... Just for me thats a no-no.... I done injured too many with the little tug thingy, I couldn't imagine me trying more I'd murder it :'(

yeah I kinda met what it looked like one time when I was given just a very slight tug & sticky type mucus was attached to inside of shell & the contents and when I gave little tug I did get it off, but also took leaf or what would of been a leaf :p I believe that was last time I ever did that.

not scared to break a single leaf, although it does slow plant down... am more scared because I have had it pull right out of coco on me also trying tug it off, now it can stay forever if it wants I don't care it's better then taken any risk imo...actually that would be funny if it ever made throughout grow, I highly doubt that could happen, since branches will get so thick, noway that seed can stay attached...

I have roots again folks back on track. Hopefully it won't slow me down to awful much. If u look close u can see where I ripped them apart and made a circle in each basket. The roots are growing from there .
