New Grower Auto Ultimate - 600W LED / Soil - High Temp

Day 18 June 14

3rd feeding for the bigger girl today. 1.5 mL Rhino Skin and 3 mL Grow Big pHed to 6.4. I decided to add silica early because I have heard it can help prevent heat stress. Temps are already hovering between 85F - and 91F and it will keep getting warmer here. Never actually used silica additive before because I mostly do soil. But I have seen good thing about rhino skin from guys like FN on here. Wasn't sure about the dosage but she seems to be taking it fine. Maybe it will help her stems stay rigid and hold the LST bends in place. She is definitely starting her pre flower stretch, added like an inch to each branch in 24hrs . Threw in a pic of the tri-cot seedling as well, day 2 or 3 for her.

Day 21 June 17

Gave the Auto Ultimate another feeding. Hit her with 1.5mL Cal-Mag, 2mL Grow big, and 1.5mL Big Bloom. Still keeping it pretty light because the ocean forest is rich in nutrients and she seems to appear happy at the moment.

Also did a bit more LST and a very small amount of defoliation. I think I removed 3 or 4 fans that had nute splash or came into contact with the soil.

And a pic of the whorled phyllotaxy seedling. She is still alive so I'm happy

I am not sure if its the LST, or the Silica additive, or the awesome genetics from Dutch Passion but I am very impressed with the growth rate on this girl. She bounced back from last nights LST session like a champ. All the branches have added growth and are facing upward again. These pictures are less than 12 hours apart

Glad I could be of assistance.
I LST'd the hell out of my girls and got a nice even canopy. Made judging the light height a LOT easier.

Day 27 June 23

Every thing is chugging along nicely with my first auto ultimate. I am letting the main cola get a bit taller than the rest of the canopy just because I have seen these ultimates produce crazy main colas in other grows. Maybe I can get some decent side branch tops and a decent main cola? Lol im just winging it completely with nutes and the LST. She is shooting a lot of pistils and flowers are developing. Seems very early for this strain to stop the stretch and start really progressing into flower. I have seen some Auto Ultimates go to like day 40 before pistils really came along. I think the early flowering is most likely due to me stressing it out somehow lol. Maybe I overfed her or underwatered...could also be the temps hovering around 90F or the earlier issue with fungus gnats. But as long if I get a few grams for a decent doob off this I will be happy. Im suprised I havent killed it yet

The new auto ultimate with the whorled leaves is doing good as well. The new set of leaves are joined together so it seems it will soon grow out of the whorl in a few nodes.
:vibes:

Should I defoliate all the fan leaves close to the bottom of the pot that i have been tucking below the canopy? There are at least 10 or so down there that kind of just droop over the edge of the pot. Not much experience with defoliation...

some say the fan leaves are the solar panels of the plant.but others say tuck em out of the way to get light to the budsites, some chop em off, some lollypop.im just a lazy bugger and do nowt.
its like when to harvest growers choice.
good luck n keep er lit.
