New Grower Auto Ultimate - 600W LED / Soil - High Temp

Day 8 June 4

AU #2's condition has worsened dramatically. Root damage from hungry larva was the cause, she could not take up any water the poor girl. I decided to try and revive her anyway. Applied mosquito dunk solution to both containers until 15% runoff. Also applied Neem oil to soil surface and foliar spray of neem oil on both plants. I used a pipe cleaner to try and keep her leaves off the soil. AU [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] is chugging along like a boss though and I am excited about that. Temps were at 91F during these pics. Notice the insane amount of fungus gnats that I caught on the strips in 24 hours. They literally took over the tent in a day. It was unbelievable.

Damn! You wasn't lying about the gnats... lol I swear I'm so OCD about some things and this would make me wanna start all over with a new grow period! I mean dude

The one looks real healthy. That fly strip though is going to haunt my dreams!!!!:dang:

I know man, never seen anything like it. I mean I have had a few gnats before but NEVER seen this type of infestation, and it went from 3 in the air one day to literally 100's the next. They all simultaneously emerged from the soil.

I honestly thought about scrapping it and switching to coco but the next day there was not a gnat to be seen. The Neem oil and BTI in the dunks worked wonders. its been 72 hours since that and still no gnats. Never again will I write off Fungus Gnats as a minor threat. I should also mention I am in a very warm, humid, tropical region and I think this also had a part to play in the army of gnats. The only reason my humidity is not in the 80's is because I am moving about 300CFM of air through a 3x3x7 tent.

Hey guys! Popping in to do another quick update.

Day 14 June 10

Today the Auto Ultimate got her second feed. 1.5mL Cal-Mag, 1mL Grow Big, 1mL Big Bloom per gallon, pHed to 6.4. I can tell this girl is going to be a hungry one, she is sucking the pot dry in 3 days and new growth is yellowish. Fine by me because I have plenty of feed and she is growing like a champ! :pighug:

Day 17 June 13

My girl decided to show sex today! Tried to get a decent macro shot with the phone cam.

I also have been LSTing her pretty heavily. I know this strain can get tall so I am trying my best to promote an even canopy. I think I may have started a bit too early because she is still really close to the soil but I have plenty of air circulation and I let the top layer of soil get thoroughly dry. Now that she will soon enter the preflower stretch I hope it is just canopy maintenance from here on out lol. I will post some pics of her below so you guys can see the LST so far. Let me know if it looks ok or if I should change it up somehow. This is honestly my first serious attempt at LSTing so I am just winging it and trying to go by A-Train's guide the best I can.

I have also decided to add another Auto Ultimate to the tent. Hopefully it will not get too crowded, if it does I will try and relocate the younger one outside or maybe purchase a second set-up. I used a little bit of Ronin's germination technique and was very impressed with the ease of it. Also very sterile as I only touched the seed once to place in root riot cube. So much great info on this site! This seedling came up and had 3 cotyledons! First time I have got to see a tri-cot in person. Who knows how she will turn out? Maybe mutate and die, maybe grow out of it in a few nodes, maybe keep the 3 leave nodes going and dump a massive yield?!?!? Lol it is a cool little nuance to me either way:weed:

And here they are together. Thank everyone on AFN so much! So many useful guides and information. I also ordered a few strawberry nuggets and forum stompers! I just could not resist after seeing the Communal Mephisto Artisan thread!
