Lighting Auto Sweet Tooth Grow Log

Ok so I done the tiering method cut the end of the smart pot off and placed the pot into the larger pot 2 days ago my ph pen arrived today took a reading of the water I was using and it was 7.5 the water I was msiting onto the lil one was the same. My error was that I had the gallon bottle of distilled water out with the cap off got a second bottle tested that one and it was 6.3 so its something to start with the soil was a little dry so I watered her 1 litre and measured the run off and it came out 6.2. Now can anyone give me advice on where to go from here the large fan leaves are still cupped upwards and the new leafs that are coming up seem to be a lil bit destorted. I'll get some pics up soon...I also started to LST her but im being very gentle with her a lil at a time I have to do this as I only have 1m in height to grow in...Looking forward to hearing back from you AFN thanks for the help so far couldn't have done it without this site.

Ok so Day 18 and just to help here's some pics of the ST1 I also put another 2 seeds into some damp tissue last night so fingers crossed on those. Anyway temps are a steady 24-25.5 degress celcius and between 55-60% RH. The larger fan leaves are still curled uip but this issue hasn't accord to any other of the leaves. The yellow on the leaf edges has gone but the yellow spots inbetween the veins (see pic below)are still visible.

So today is day 26 LST is taking well ST1 is really starting to open out and she has shown sex and is really starting to take off gave her half strenght bio grow 2 days ago. There is something weird going on though some of the smaller leaves are coming out all distorted and even some of them have grown with holes in them. I have popped 2 beans both sprouted 5 days ago one of the 2 had only one of the first 2 leaves. The second of the 2 seedlings first set of true leaves was rounded and now the next set of leaves are now grwoing distorted. My PH is 6.2 going in and the run off is 6.2 so I'm stumped i have also included a picture of my ph pen if you have used this before any advice..Here's the pics have a look and tell me what you think thanks in advance AFN.





Oops....will this affect the growth on the rest of the stem it broke off.

Looks like your light source is too strong. Can you distance the light from your plants? The upward curling on the leaves indicate heat stress. Hard to tell any other adjustment required until you fix the heat problem first.

Hey thanks for the quick response :thumbs:
highest temp is 26 degrees during the day night temps 19-21..Rh humdity 50-55%..Light is about 5" away 250w CFL.

250 cfl... might back that off another inch or two on the younger ones...


oh.... just picked this up... think this is most likely th culprit:

at 6.2 you're starting to lock out Phosphorus, Calcium, and Magnesium...

as indicated in the edge of the leaves...

bump it up... next watering hit it with 6.5 - 6.7, the one after that use 6.4 and hold that for the rest of the grow...

I can bump that up alrite..the seedlings are in smaller pots so there around 8-9 inches away from the light..I'll raise it up another 2 inches..thanks for your help JM really appreciate it dude

Well today is day 29 for the sweet tooth and day 8 for the sweet tooth seedlings one of which has to be chopped but i'll get back to that later. The LST is working really well I must say its a full time job trying to keep them all the same height. Since I raised the light up it has stopped the cupping from what I can see I removed some of the fan leaves to allow more light the canopy so all the bud sites have an equal share of the light available. The pistils are really starting to pop out everywhere but im going to hold off on the flower nutes for another 2 weeks. Well here's some pics thanks for checking out my grow AFNer's happy smoking.
