Day one and all five are up but, always a but, one has not fully opened. This is a G13 haze that should take 9-10 weeks from seed to harvest, grow 24in-30in, and I hope yeild 40gr-50gr per plant of sativa dominate fat smelly buds. The set up is the same, 2X4X7ft tent, 6in duct booster extraction fan and carbon filter, (2) 6in clip-on fans, (4) 4ft t5's with 6500k grow and 3000k bloom bulbs, (2) bs240uv first (repaired) and second generation leds, 3gallon airpots. Fox Farm nutes; trio (grow big, tiger bloom, big bloom), beastie bloomz, sledgehammer, kangaroots, and advanced sensi cal/mag grow and bloom, and superthrive. Seeds were soaked for about 12hrs and planted last Thursday morning, poke and pray method. Normally I have the lights on 20/4 schedule but the cold temps mean 24/0 for a week or so, last grow I used a small space heater in the grow room and ran the electric bill up an extra $100. The wife spoke to me about that idea and after we spoke I have taken the space heater out of my ass and put it away.

Hey Va Gent! I've been eyeing this strain for the longest as seeing as the g haze auto crosses are still some of my most favorite autos to day.... I was graciously gifted two of these beans but haven't gotten around to popping them! This is going to be a great grow! I Come to think of it haven't seen any journals on this lady which is surprising to me with her lineage... Anyone else ever run her? Thoughts? Can't wait to watch! :karma Cloud: of :gthumb: your way bro!
:Sharing One:

Not wasting any time eh VG, good luck with this grow :goodluck:
Good call on the 24/0 for now, running a space heater is such a waste when more light will do... hope your ass recovers lol. :roflcry:

Hell yea. Been wanting to grow this strain. Will be a while before I get to order some to grow.

Very excited to see your results. Its supposed to be a real killer strain. Nice and potent.

Thanks for the good wishes and for checking in. I didn't like the one plant that came up but wouldn't open, even with helmet off. I tried to split apart the pod but I think it's to damaged to continue. If the leaves don't come out by the morning I will replace.

I am a sucker for stray cats and hurt plants. The seedling is still green and I think growing so a few more days to develope some leaves or out it comes.

I have replaced the damaged seed with a Delicious Seeds cheese candy auto fem. This makes the third time in a row I have had a failed seed, time to admit my soak, poke and pray method of planting has its' limits. I have tried to blame the seed but now I accept my method will have an 80% or less success rate and I will plan for it. I have been using freebies to replace my loss and I get to try something new, a fair trade, imo.

Hey my brother! Sorry to hear about the damaged seedling. Ive had my share of casualties, and its never any fun. I know how you feel man.

Though, someone recommended to me that I try to plant directly into soil without watering. Then sit the dirt pot in what would be enough to water the enitre pot in a container. Hope that makes sense.

So think of a pan with water in it, and you sit the un-watered pot full of dirt into that pan that has water in it. So, the pot will suck up the water from underneath. I guess this is supposed to guarantee a higher success rate. That someone said that they were told to do this when studying organic agriculture in a university that I dont recall the name of.

Personally I just go straight into the wet paper towel. Then as soon as the seed cracks and I can see just a iddy biddy tap root barely poping out of the seed. I plant. Usually takes 2-3 days to rise above the soil. Works really well for me personally. Only time they died is if the bean shell was to hard and chocked it out, or I over misted..and made it rot.

Cheers brother..Hope this helps.:Sharing One::karma Cloud: Karma for the cheese candy.:tiphat:

Thanks Neko, and your method is better. My problem is hand shake, the first pic, plant in right rear, right leaf bent down because I tried to knock off dirt. The less I handle the seeds/seedlings the better. Three of the mig29s look good and the smaller, last pic, is a bit rough. The last time I really didn't try to make any changes to get a better result, in fact I gave up after almost 7 weeks. I will see if some TLC will help this "runt".
