Indoor Auto Purple by Original Sensible

Well the idea is to try to get ideal (and even) internodal spacing this is the space between branching or the nodes..for baby plants such as the one on this thread its best to have the lights nice and high if there 600w or even 400 mh/hps most tents ive seen don't really exceed 2mtrs tall unless its one of the more expensive pro tents not unlike gorrilla or the likes 400 i would drop a bit lower than the 600 but only by a foot or so. as the plants grow i start to drop them closer as they can handle it as i do this i watch for any signs as you do,of harassment by the lights like burning or excessive curling if i know theirs plenty of mag and the humidity is in check and it couldnt be anything eles. hope this helps a bit ;)
Brilliant stuff! I've been really concerned about this because I've read the plants will stretch.

I wouldn't be as concerned about stretch as i would be squatting if fact most stretched seedlings are only like that for awhile then you would never even notice this can also be used to your benefit if your planning on LST'ing them at all. i can only say my methods and what i know BTW i doesn't make me right at all I'm just a fellow grower like you guys but i can say what works for me ;)
Remember your using 600watts your never ever going to get to much stretch the light is just to powerful at those hight's. id say lower the 600 about 2ft from the roof and go from there let her get used of it then start to lower but always keeping the spectrum zone just out of reach so she needs to grow into it or you will encourage squatting. ;)

@IndicalVoz is a trooper. He knows his stuff and is more than happy to guide us noobs with his knowledge. My Auto Purple actually looks happier now she is on the bottom. He's right, the light is too strong for them being at such a young age and the stretch is good for them. Bigger plants = Bigger yield so they need that stretch. [emoji38]

Sweet deals. I'm glad I've met you both. The wisdom being shared is awesome!

Awhhh!! Just look at her. She's really perked up. Although she's a little deformed at the moment I love her! Lol. Her new leaves are coming through well so hopefully there will be no more deformities!

She's 18 days old. New growth is growing normally. She's growing 5 finger leaves, no more deformities!
