Happy New Year mate, all the best for 2020!
Just caught up with your grow, I like how you do your scrog net.... the frame and the supports.... neat job!
Shame about the pH issue, lucky you caught that early.
I've just mixed up my nute for my next grow, and thought I'd get away without calibrating my pH pen.... now I've decided better to check. Now I'm stressing about the validity of my pH check solutions.
Thanks Teetee, best wishes for 2020 to you too!
I like to keep my grow room as neat as possible, so I spent a good while figuring out my scrog setup. I'm glad you like it
Regarding the pH issue: I noticed some weirdness with calibrating my pH meter. I have a Bluelab pH pen that instructs calibrating at pH 7 first, then pH 4 or 10. Up until now I calibrated to 7 and then 4, and then redid the 7 because it was usually off by 0.1. Last refill of my reservoir I overshot my pH- and ended up with 5.4. To double check this I recalibrated my pH meter (7, 4, and 7 again) and measured again: pH 5.4. I then re-calibrated by only doing 7 and 4, and measured the res pH at 5.1 I think this is the reason my plants were having issues...
Luckily my 40L reservoir increased from pH 5.1 to 6.0 by leaving the lid off and my small circulating pump running overnight. Removing 40L would've been a real pain in the ass.
