Mephisto Genetics Fugue State Indica pheno's (COBs + MegaCrop)

The 2nd Fugue State is above ground as well.

I checked the Bubbasquanch seeds, and they're not doing anything  I'm really disappointed because the strain description is mouthwatering.

I've gone ahead and soaked other seeds as a backup. If the Critical Orange Punch cracks I'll run 1 of each, and otherwise probably 2 Auto Mazars and 1 White Widow.

Not sure how you prep your pots of Coco, but to me it looks like you jus lightly watered the top layer by the color? My advice is to precharge the Coco a day ahead and then water around the OUTER RIM of your pot when you water, to promote horizontal root branching...roots seek water. So when you start your seeds it is more ideal to have the pots of Coco precharged 24 hour and up to temp, it helps speed up the process vs unprepped pots. Since you planted 2 per pot uncracked I would cover them with cupa and try to have your temps nice and Stablem. Using a heating pad is good, IF you have a thermostat. If not, temps are unreliable and can have hot and cold spots.seems like you are doing things well, just covering all of the bases. Temps #1 inportance, I wont start a seed without my temps being in range 24/7. Some seeds tske longer to germ, but most of the time seeds crack with the 48 hours you soaked. With the Mycos touching the seeds it can help, dont bury too deep. Wait 24 hours and use a chop stick and look for root development if you are worried. Or wait a few days and see. Good luck, slow

I have my lights on 24/7 so it keeps the temperature around 25-28 °C. I watered the pots a few days before sowing, but the top layer dries out relatively quickly. Watering around the edge is something I do too :d5:

Day 7 update.
I've been giving the seedlings waterings of EC1.1 (tapwater is EC0.5) at pH5.8.
I pulled up the two smallest Fugue State Indica seedling and transplanted them to one of the empty 15L fabric pots. Hopefully one of them wil take. I've filled the other 2 empty pots with a DP Auto White Widow and Auto Mazar seedling. Day 1 for them is the 27th of March.

Your Coco looks too dry in every picture I see. Keep that top layer more moist than you currently are. Not sure how often you water, but the color and texture looks too dry. I am sure it is more moist lower, but the Top layer is way too dry looking, as if you never prepped it initially and have been watering too little since. If you have a seedling in a 3 gal pot of Coco it is best to prepare the pot a day or 2 before planting your seeds. Let that Coco soak up that water and come up to temp before you plant them. Then water lightly daily around the outer edge to keep moist and to have the roots seek moisture. If you dont prep the Coco, it will dry out way faster than it should. I highly suggest watering 2 to 3x per day in Coco lightly to avoid excesdive drying. The plants look fine now, but it is a bad habit to even have Coco that color. The roots are small now, but if the plant was larger and roots were bigger your plants would be effected by the dry Coco. I have done hundreds upon hundreds of plants in Coco. Plants in Coco thrive off of consistent watering, stsying moist not wet vs wet/dry cycles. Good luck, slow

Only strain that I never had a single seed germinate was the bubbasquanch out of all strains n that was otta 12 bubbasquanch. have 48 mephistogenetics strains in my collection, all are between 5 to 12packs, Evey other stain of mephisto have given 100% germination rate, Even ones that are 5 years old still germinate fine. Plus 2 of my good buddy's had bubbasquanch too and all seeds where duds, n ever other strain of theres germinated. So outta 36 bubbasquanch seed between myself n friends all where duds n done in paper towel method, We all let mephisto team know. But all was good, the freebies that came with those seed made up for the disappointment of not being able growing the bubbasquanch.

Day 16 full room picture. The Fugue States are the bottom 2 and the pot with 2 seedlings. The larger 2 Fugues have curly leaf edges (due to light intensity or heat?) but I'm hoping they'll grow out of it. I've topped all of the larger plants but can't decide if I should top the Mephistos. I'm leaning towards not topping. What do you think?

Hey bro, the coco is moist a couple of cm underneath the surface. I have my lights and a fan (set to high) on 24/7, which dries out the top layer pretty quickly. As the plants grow bigger I'll water more and more often. I can only water the plants in the evenings when my kids are in bed. I have a 47L autopot reservoir with a small circulation pump that I want to convert to an irrigation system. Not quite sure how though but I would like 2 waterings a day.

That sucks bro. It's a pity that strain has issues because it sounds so delicious. At least I'm not alone. Thanks for letting me know @TaNg grew a Bubbasquanch and had no germinating issues I think.

What else are you running in there? Do u have more space for when the start to flower? That is too many plants for that space in flower, especially doing a couple Fugue States, they get beefy. Good luck, slow

Paper towel method could be why you failed. Soak your seeds 24-36 hours in a shot glass and have the temps 80-85F while you germ. Directly plant your seeds in medium with some Mycos. Paper Towel method is inferior and even if you getm you can damage the tap root. Most importantly are the temps. If your temps are lower than 75F it can delay germing or even have failures with Paper towel method. Think of a wet towel at the beach. It will keep the seed cooler than the outside temps, so it is even more importsnt to have stable 80-85 temps while germing. Some seeds are more sensitive to germ temps. I didnt have issues with mine germing at all. The only time I had an issue was when I ASSUMED my temps were higher thsn they really were. I use my heating pad and thermostat religously ever since. Good luck, slow
