Journal Update Day 25

Thanks for your comments ripster and ASI - problem seems only to effect the bottom leaves, its like they are crinkling - one plant seems slightly worse than the other - but on the whole they seem to be doing better.

Ph of water is 5.2 it drains from the soil at around 6.2

Regarding the lights, Ill be installing a Metal Halide that should have the best light spectrum at 4000K

Thanks again for your help

Hey, how's it going? I got a bit of info for ya on the Mazar's. Another member

just asked me about them so I just cut and pasted what I wrote to him.

I used 10'' pots. That's my normal pot size for reg. auto's.

Didn't expect the Mazar #1 to be a super auto or it would have gone in a 14" pot.

I only transplanted once. That was after germination, in there grow plugs...My large

pheno got to 4 feet tall. And the normal pheno was around 14 to 16 inch's tall...

My Mazar #1 went 85 days from seed to harvest with 159.06 grams and the

Mazar #2 went around 66 days...I got 74 grams off her. These weights are dried,

cured and de-stemmed. All smokable weight. Sorry, I didn't get any wet weights

Hope this helps you out. Also, the buds were rock hard and the taste is like a

sweet deep grape flavor. I love this strain!!!! Very recommendable!!!!!!!!

Later,

Rip

Do you remember how long it took the Mazar to start flowering ?

Im on day 25 and no flowering yet ....................

The leaf curling looks like pH issues. The spots look like fert splash but could also be the result of the pH being off. Peat has a very low pH to begin with, and you're watering with a very low pH... I'm having a little trouble understanding how you could start with peat, which usually has a pH of below 6 (or, at least low sixes) and water with sub 6 pH but end up with plus 6 run-off.

Something is off.

If I remember right, about 20 to 25 days. That surprises me that you don't have sex yet. Keep a close eye on them cause they should be showing any time now...

Kind of strange I know - maybe its the vemiculite and perlite effecting the Ph ??

I was feeding 5.2 ph and the run off was 6.2 ph

Ill do another drain test and post the results .

Reagrding the Ph tester, do you know for how long the buffer solutions (4 & 6.9) remain good for ? - I have mine in airtight containers.

the perlite doesnt effect ph but dont know about vemiculite...If it doesnt sex by day 35 i would switch to 12/12.....I had a dinafem haze auto not sex till day 50+and its still going and its a beast and its almost 100days maybe 2 weeks left calxy's just starting to swell...
