Good Night / Day folks :)

Hey there Weebehigh. I've had those damn gnats myself and their a bitch to get rid of. If you want to add an extra organic gnat/bug killing method. Heres what I also use in my garden.

I use those sticky fly strips to catch them as they fly around and I also put 2 of those glue mouse traps, one on each side of the pot, to catch them as they emerge from the soil. You can't get rid of them by controlling them from the outside of the grow room. Once you see them, they are in your soil. They lay eggs/lava in the soil and infest the roots. If you have perpetual grow, they will move from pot to pot and if you don't get rid of them now, you'll have problems with them later. From what I've read about them, they really don't hurt the plant unless you have alot of them.

Also, one more note. On the organic pesticide link, be careful using anything with alcohol in it. I believe that will wash away or destroy the trichomes :2cents:

Hi Guys,

so today I emptied two cigarettes into around 300 ml of water, will see what happens when I spray them tomorrow.

Also I buoght a 70 Watt HPS Ballast and hooked up a HPS bulb insted of my middle CFL - so now I have = CFL 25 Watt HPS 70 Watt CFL 25 Watt (under the hood :)

Wow these HPS bulbs are as RED as a ...............sunset !!!

Found a little problem, my bucket water for feeding was developing an aquariumy smell (algae?) I guess its the light affecting the rain water I had in it - removed it and now put mineral water with air stone and adjusted Ph and diluted nutes - guess if the problem will happen again will have to dump my shitty pump and get another one so I could "hide" the bucket under the pots.

Will post some more photos tomorrow as Im knackered afer a very busy day

Plants are loving the HPS and growing some more, Im at day 21 - when should they start to flower as they are still fairly short right now, around a foot only.

Thinking of switchng my HPS to Metal Halide to stretch them abit till they flower/sex.

Good night folks

hey bro looking good
im not sure could be early sings of cal/mag diff

see what others think first

ASI may be right. Try adding some cal/mag and see if it helps. I think the only way to get nute burn in spots is if when u watered, a few drops hit the leaves.

One more thing. On my last grow, I tried using the bloom bulbs (yellow/red lighting) and I wasn't to impressed with it. When I use my grow bulbs from start to finish, the plants get bigger and therefor more weight...Personally I'll never use my bloom bulbs on auto's again.

I guess I should also tell you that I've been growing these auto's for 3 years now and veg. lighting all the way though harvest is the best lighting for auto's. My opinion. Like assholes and elbows, we all have them
