Auto Hacks & Tips

yeH but everybody keeps their cobs or leds at different distance, and I'm, sometimes really wack with reading plant...Is foxtailing signs of light too close??

Foxtailing? You mean edge of leaves pointing down? If so it could be but could also mean to much nitrogen during flower.

I myself am having issues with aphids I ordered some organic plant safe herbicide im really hoping it helps. Ive never had this problem so im new to dealing with them. If this stuff dont work I might buy some ladybugs or Japanese beatles to eat them. Anyone ever deal with this before?

foxtailing, like constant growing of new calix and white pistils on the bud.. I had them, I think there is even grow log.. THERe are some natural pesticides that you could use,i don't remember which one I used, but i know that I mixed it with eatiing oil and f up my plants(my stoner ass read some where, that oil and soap mixed with water suffeced them)..but safest way are natural predators.. @TheMongol send me cant remember what,he can help you more..

Yea i got tons of it laying around and it works great just dont use the bare copper ground wire. I also made my own sog net outta pvc and twine but it was a pain for me to water them so I quit using it. Cost me 5 bucks to make and I made a couple 2x2 foot nets for single plants. When I first started out I made pretty much everything by hand and used anything I could find to re purpose .

O and another little tip ive found on growing autos is I rarely get amber trichs like I do with photos. I usually get all cloudy with maybe 10% amber tips on the trichomes and after that I seem to loose potency. And when I dry I hook up a little box to my tent via 6 inch air holes that way the carbon filter can do its job and get rid of the smell idk why this isnt common pratice for most growers especially when drying temp and humidity is so close to growing temp and humidity. Anyone else do this.
This sounds like a great idea. Any pics?

I have a little 2x4 tent set up next to my big one with a 6inch booster fan and I use it for the 72 hour dark period at the end of flower and to hang and dry after. Works great. But a big cardboard box or anything like that would work as well. As long as you have a fan sucking the air out into the bigger tent your good to go. I have a couple extra tents laying around so I use them. But before I bought my big ones I had 3-4 4x4 tents all connected via 6 inch pipe and had fresh air inlet going into the first one and my carbon filter and exhaust going out the last so that they all circulated the same air. It worked great and I was able to have diffrent areas with diffrent light scedual and diffrent lights for diffrent stages of growth. It also makes it possible to have perpetual harvests. I still do it from time to time. My only advice would be double the size every stage of growth let's say for seedlings use a 2x4 then for veg a 4x4 and then for flower a 8x4. That's what I use.
