You leave in the bag till its dry, the storks just about snap when you bend them.

It can be smoked then, it will be much better when it's cured in the jars though.

I not reached the point where I have the luxury of jarring up weed for months at a time. I start smoking mine as soon as it's ready, the last buds out of the jar are always the best smelling and tasting.

In an ideal world where we're not in a hurry to stuff our faces, how long would you leave it in the jar before smoking it?

A good rule of thumb for bag drying is for every 10% of humidity in your drying area allow 1 day of drying + 1 extra day in total.
So if its 60% humidity it would be 7 days in the bags.
Obviously popcorn buds and other small bits will dry faster.Keeping a hygrometer in one of the bags is good for having a peek in. Buds at 62% are generally recommended as ready to smoke.

I think the longer the better up to about 3 months, if you are planning on storing it longer I think there's a different process, I've never bothered looking into it. It's lucky if it sees 3 weeks in my house! Lol

Thanks! I'll look into the longer process. Of course, the first batch won't sit around long. But after that, I think we'll be able to wait because I'm growing way more than we need and will need to store a bunch.

It's hard to contain myself from the curiosity and excitement of growing and trying all kinds of different stuff. I think I have enough seeds to last for the rest of my life! lol

I had a quick squizz at the longer storing.

It's the same process except, you have to vac the air out of the jars and store them in a cool, dark, dry place. Pulling a vacuum in the jars sounds like hours of fun and there's loads of room in my extensive wine cellar next to the crates of crystal champagne!

I've always thought if I had an abundance of herb I'd wash it all for the oil and store that.
