Why?
Sad Lady is sad and droopy because her reservoir is too full.
Happy Lady is happy because her reservoir is at the correct level.
Note: Too full a reservoir when the ladies are small suffocates the roots, the same drooping can be seen in water-logged soil and sometimes when it is too cold.
However when the ladies are well developed and drinking/sweating/transpiring lots (say 7-8 litres per day) over filling the DWC bucket can be useful as the overfill soon drops to the usual level through the day...
