Yeah the zip lock helps with the humidity/moisture... If you have a laundry room put them near the dryer when you're using it. I have read that is a good place to do the PT method. Hope you get them germ'd bro!

Works like a champ for me every time. you are not the only one who has had issues with Jiffy stuff.
I have too had to change the way i germed seed because the little seed starters were not working any more and if i recall ripster had the same issue.

So the whole paper towel method is awesome. Also added Bio Root & humic to the water, very good.

Hell yeah bro! Keep it growin'! My AA's are having issues poppin' out. I think it's cuz they are too fresh. I slit the one side of each with a razor blade. Hope that works... Bio Root and Humic helps them germ? I have heard of Bio Root -- seen it in my gardeners digest mag. I think OF and LW are made with Humic but the current research on Humic is pretty promising. I may try what you're trying if it gets results with fresh seeds... I still don't feel right crackin' them with my teeth or takin' a razor to them! Can't wait for the updates!!

I finished an AA seed run a few weeks ago....after a bit of aging, they popped fairly readily...but then again, I use the little box and sandpaper shake on all my seeds...Anyway, the AA is some good smoke...glad I've got 80+ seeds....!

Yeah, I've long given up on Jiffy Pellets - no bueno for me, caused damping off issues and things like that. I germ in paper towel/ziplocks in between two styrofoam plates on top of the fridge.. haha..
Trying out the rapid rooters again for hempy, figure I'll germ the normal way, then plop them in pre-soaked rapid rooters that I'll squeeze out then put in individual humidity domes.. usually if you can make it past the first week above ground no more damping off..

Hey Smashed! That razor blade trick on fresh seeds works! My AA's sprouted today after spitting them last night! Stitch recommended that and it looks like it works! Just another weapon in the germ arsenal. I would only do this as a last resort. Definitely PT Method all the way!
