Extraction Another solventless extract attempt ?!?

Yes.. Only 11.5 water.. Safe to purge indoors.. Still have about another 30-40 minutes till the water is purged.. The purge process takes longer than eth/everclear but is a safer alternative. I guess the hazard would be spilling the hot water on yourself or dropping the pan on your toe..

Nice some people would choice safety of time!

Also..i did bump the GOB thread to the top for a comparison, that process did not use 11.5 water, and was done with dry ice hash as the starting material

What's actually extracting the trichs? The oil or the water? Or is it a combination of the both?
I'm assuming you purge untill the water evaporates, then scrap up what's left over, is that then smokeable goodness or is there more steps to follow?
Definitely saving this and giving it ago when I have the material seems to simply and easy
A water extraction will ensure there is no residuals left in the material

Heres a pic of the "filter hash" nice blond'ish color. I hit it with a bit of heat, rolled it into a "worm"(okay a slug),it is sticky and i think this is where most of the oil ended up.. Still purging.. Dont increase the heat to rush things.. Slow and steady wins the race

Alright.. The moment we've been waiting for.. The purge finished

the remains look a bit dirty compared to an eth extraction which may not be a fair comparison..but my scrape process always uses the same few tools for collection. The flat scraper to cleant the pan and the utility knife blade to scrape it into the silicon dish..

and the finished product ..hold on the flash ruined the two pics

Not a bad return.. This will not be broken down as a % because i didnt weigh the starting material.. Next step is a test smoke for flavor and to see if it will "full melt"

the filter hash looks knockout, the scrape looks pretty lush to.
was expecting a bit more green colour.the waste product isnt exactly waste as there are still trichs on it,and can be processed again.
not seeing many negitives to this.
low fuss,low effort,safe extraction.
top work budelee

Well then, interesting read that. Smoke report?

I just got in from the backyard, pruning clipping etc. Spring time stuff ya know and I may be overly "snippish" from the soaring back pain but.... how is this a solventless exteraction?
Water, olive oil = solvents.

Alcohol free extraction sure but ..... gawd I need a toke and some salve on the back bone .........
