Old Reviews Amending pro mix

Cool. :check: My initial soak is always about 6.0 That's what I did recently. :D

Also, it takes a few days for the lime in the Promix to kick in as well.

I like to water my pro mix 3 times with 6ph water before I plant them

That will certainly help to get the myco started.

If the cottonseed meal works I'll have finalized my testing and plan on writing up a guide to growing autos in soil less mixes. I had originally hoped to have it completed by now and was going to recommend using pH Perfect. But I've had so many issues with my water sources that I had to abandon using it.

What nutes are you using now, Mud Man? :D

GH Flora 3 part. Started in the middle of last grow when I ran out of GO Biothrive. Almost through of first full grow with them and the results are looking good. I picked them because they are inexpensive and readily available. When I do the Pro Mix guide I also want to include a feeding schedule and that seemed a good choice for new growers. I'm also using the AN B-52 and Overdrive I got with the pH Perfect. Plus humic acid, cal/mag and PK13.14, my usual lineup. Sure enough, about week 7 the Criticals started wanting more cal/mag and P.

I have yet to get the Cal/Mag from GO I just use Epsom salt and Molasses. I don't even use the Bio Bud PK Boost just the Bio Bloom. Silly Squid could be getting higher yields, but is a poor man. I still want a Wizard soil probe!

Edit: What Humics do you use? The B-52 contains Humics. I haven't got into extras like that. Just Bio Root, Grow and Bloom, Sea Weed and the Humic Acid. Superthrive and Sea Salt that's it. :D

That works too and what I normally use when growing organic in amended Pro Mix. I want to nail down a system where we can tell new growers here, got buy this, set it up this way, feed it this, and you'll get a good crop. Sort of a turn key growing system.

Everyone growing in soil should have a Control Wizard. You're priorities are all screwed up. Stop eating for a few days so you can afford one. :smoke:

Black Diamond humic. I've also got powdered I use in the organic mixes.

You know me. All Organic if possible! Keep thinking about trying the AN Iguana stuff next, but I dunno. I like my Vegan nutes from GO. I am lenient on manures and poops, but no blood or bone meal.

Once I get this guide written I'll be going back to growing with amended Pro Mix again. The best results I've ever gotten have been with worm castings. I'll be getting setup this spring so that I can start premixing and letting it start to work before using. Although I do still want to try the pH Perfect in straight Pro Mix again when I get my RO water set up.

I plan on eventually going TLO basically, but I'll keep Promix as the base because I'll need it to start in anyway. :D
