Lighting Alibaba ?

Hi i am in the process of deciding to order some lights from Alibaba but i am not sure how long shipping will be and what i can do if i do order and instead of 2 weeks it takes 2 months.. can i dispute it on my CC to cancel or do i have to wait.

Has anyone placed an order from canada in the last month that can give me some advice ?

Tagging in on this thread, I'm interested to know as well. I kind of had it in my mind when I do decide to order to prepare to wait at least a month.

What lights did you go with ? I wonder if shipping times would be different by manufacturer.

They have some protections on website. They recommend contacting seller first to see what current shipping times are before placing order. After that I think the protection will get you refund if it takes longer but you'll have to double check the website.

Any particular reason you're ordering from them? Some decent luminaries in Canada and the US

price is the biggest reason. hard to justify paying double for the same power basicly imo

I get ya. What's your budget and space like? A lot goes into light beside the wattage - not trying to sway you away from Ali - I'm just curious lol

i need to cover a 4x8 was going to get 4 240w boards with ir uv and 1 240w for veg total it says on site is 950ish shipped not including customs (i assume another 200 ish) all $ is CAD

budget is around 1200

They are rocking epistars, efficiency is going to be lower with that and the UV. The 301s are good though. It's the same issue with Ali stuff though.

I found that even if I DIY, getting 660-730+UV is expensive. Like I said, not trying to sway you just curious lol.

ya i kinda like the single 240 boards so i can spread them out more for better coverage. thanks for the link though as it gives me something to read about!
