Lighting Alibaba ?

Since you are asking on here I would recommend to contact Mars Hydro and ask for a quote and advice on lights for your needs, that way you will have warranty on your lights if you buy (good luck with warranty on AliBaba) and they won't take a month or two to arrive.
Have a look at their website first www.mars-hydro.com
I recently bought two of the TS1000 lights for a 2/4/6 tent and I'm well happy.

I guess I could have tagged them for your convenience
And no... I don't work in sales LOL
@MarshydroTina

Hi i am in the process of deciding to order some lights from Alibaba but i am not sure how long shipping will be and what i can do if i do order and instead of 2 weeks it takes 2 months.. can i dispute it on my CC to cancel or do i have to wait.

Has anyone placed an order from canada in the last month that can give me some advice ?
Have you checked out Digikey?
They have all of the components plus 3 Mars Hydro SP3000 will blaze your tent up for pretty much exactly 1200 bucks. If you buy 3 and combine the multiple unit discount with the AFN discount it will be 5% off i think. The SP3000 is the best light for the money.
Have not seen anything that really compares. The spectrum is amazing. @marshywill hook you up.
Fast shipping as well. Took 4 days to get my light.

ya i kinda like the single 240 boards so i can spread them out more for better coverage. thanks for the link though as it gives me something to read about!

Usually they are used as high bay so you hang them high and let your plants grow into them. Then the overlap from two fixtures provides better coverage. It's same with the 240's though.

You're in between price points with your budget though. You won't find the highest quality lights for what you can afford, efficiency won't be there or you'll get less lights for the same amount of money.

I'd get what I could afford until I could afford what I want rather than need. I don't think Ali is a bad choice if you go through Kingbrite or Meiji, the Chinese suppliers testing and claims are rarely if ever accurate.

So when you see claims of like 2.5+umols/j it's usually with them dimmed down to achieve that but not running max. They are closer to 1.9 usually.

When you get the budget, https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/products/hlg-650r

Those would be great and better than just about everything for the price, efficiency, and spectrum for what you need.

The best manufacturers imo are going to push high quality Pcb, top bin diodes, 2.4+ efficiency, and high cri 90+ offerings.

Good luck on whatever you buy though but do research for yourself. Lights are an investment that should be understood

Look at the Chinese manufacturers and the umol/j then compare to what they advertise. You'll see something like Up to x.x umol/j but that isn't at max power.

You may wish to view the Migrow Array.

Or this one at Canadian $1.30/watt with the LM301H series diodes. The SP3000 is CAD $1.85/watt. Not going to dive into the debate over how much better the H series performs over the B. But the H series does have a conformal coating to it to protect from overspray and humidity and even if it's a nominal difference in performance you are getting the better diode for the price. Not sure why they call it a DIY kit. They are sort of shooting themselves in the foot. You screw in a pcb and driver to a heatsink and plug in the wires. When you buy a bookshelf from ikea they sure don't call it a DIY.

On another note if you shop around Alibaba you will find even better deals on samsung boards and the same meanwell drivers. As for quality, They are all copies of the exact same thing here. Samsung diodes, Meanwell drivers and a heatsink. The likely all get the pcb's stuffed with the leds at the same board builder lol. There really isn't much to screw up on these boards. Running a SMT line to drop these diodes on a board is pretty simple.

the DIY tag def throws ppl off me included.. as i wont buy a diy kit but if its as simple as screwing things together then im game lol!

This is what I did and the ability to adjust light coverage is a godsend. I bought my lights from Kingbrite on Alibaba and did not have a single issue. They have been running for a year without a hiccup. In fact I just ordered 2 more to get a veg tent up and running.

If you are looking to buy from alibaba, if you have a messenger account, contact Doris Duan and she will hook you up and get it pushed through in a quarter the time it usually takes. Your welcome.
