Gnome Automatics Alf #5

Looking like a sausage fest up in here... I think all I'm getting out of the first 5 is one female...

I'll be dropping more soon..
The dragons are still tiny but the transplant didn't seem to slow them down, 3 on the far right.

Well shit, cant get it all right can we. Thats the fun in testing, i also saw a higher male count this round but right now i am ok with that. I need to see what we have which way they are going, where the dominance is and who is turning what.

Hoping the next round does better for you and i hope the direction i am going over here takes a turn on the F3.

lets here more about the f3 process doop dogg
and your thoughts on the high male ratio

Ive always had a theory on the high male thing with autos. @Mossy and i talked about how sometimes pre-ferted soil can cause a higher male ratio when starting seeds directly in it.

I typically start with Black gold, and thats it. Nothing else until sex. No bottled nutes, nothing in the soil. Male and female ratio is awesome. Then when i started doing direct germs into pre-mixed soil, my ratio went UP again. The biotabs as well as the other items i place in my organic soil have a lot of ferts in there. Not a TON but enough i think to cause this.

This was and is the whole reason that i developed the tier. I would start them in virgin, non-ferted soil till sex and then into the next pot with out disturbing the rootball.....time to test this theory again and see what happens if i tier them and what the ratios are then.

looks like we need the pot busters or myth buster squad..
it's funny because I find the same thing you do... hot soil has the potential to cause males....
but from the thousands of pages from books and pdf's I've found, they all seem to mention that a high concentration a nitrogen will actually help lead to females...
same studies I mention would talk about male-fem and fem-male hermies and compounds that help trigger these changes... <- - - maybe someone knows the name)

for that reason I try to put perlite in the black earth on starters... try it out, added drainage & little nitrogen in most.
please take some notes if you do, send them my ways...
and
morning buddy!!!!

These were started in straight Promix.. no feed till 10 days then it was half strength. I did do a little bending, maybe too early.
The one female is doing good, she seems to like the bondage.. pics tonight.
I would've had some last night but found two plants with bud rot.. piece of shit fan died.. humidity was up around %78 not sure how long the fan was down but long enough.
Tried to get pics of that mess and my phone crapped out then it was cut and trim till it was done...
I'll put up some pics tonight

Here she is,

I layed her open after these pics and it didn't take much more than 20 minutes and everything was pointed at the light again
