My grow is a failure so far - out of 9 seeds got 7 males and the other 2 are still undetermined. I'll get new lights till the end of the month and will start over. Now I have PAKs, Thunders, Russians and Duurty Jacks (Duurty Dragon X Black Jack) in early seedlings stage and last night put for germination some Jems and Duurtys F2. Hoping to get at least 1 girl of each. I run out of smoke and last 2 weeks were a nightmare

Quick question for you wiz...
as Whore is JEMxMississippi Mud, is pollenating a female JEM with Whore pollen considered a backcross? Just curious to know...

Hmmm...I wouldn't consider it a BX for me...But...
what I will says is..to move something away from the Original genetic..then hit it back..
will probably give you some lovely hybrid vigor...:thumbs:...it is a cross I would like to do..
there is a very special pheno in whore that I covert...really..really want out...

Ive got 10 Jem x DD (from my white JEM) and 10 Giggle F1's that have been on wet paper towel since 3/1. They cracked and a tail peeked out in the first 24 hrs, but since then, no growth at all. Ive kept em in the closet where the furnace is- about 75F. Seems like every time I plant seeds that dont have a good root showing they just rot w/o breaking ground. Unfortunately, the paper towel is starting to smell a lil sour. You think I should plant em, change the paper towel, or just keep my pants on and wait??

That Sounds as if they may be staying too moist when they start to sour...could I suggest putting them on a deeper wedge of tissue..so they can drain better..and maybe add a pich of bicarb to the germ water to up the PH a bit..which would up the oxygen content a bit.

Tip says germ water should be ph-7 or slightly over....:thumbs:
