hi and welcome :pass:not an easy answer to question,a pic only tells half the story.need to get super up close x30-60 lupe or scope.an auto can go 60-110 days so quite a big window.sorry im not much help.
button bottom right-upload a file.
:pighug:

Your not going to do anything 'wrong'. Even without seeing pics, I can tell you that your good to go right now. Your going to get high and probably be happy with your success.

That being said, if you want to improve your quality and quantity a little, do what AutoWonders suggested. Keep it simple.

If 50% of your trichromes are amber, harvest is imminent, be ready!
This is my opinion.

This is best pic I can upload have been waiting 3wks for loupe to arrive damn postal service.

You're def getting close mate. Brown receding pistils is a good sign.

Do not leave it until 50% of the trichs are amber or a lot of the thc will have degraded into CBD. 10 to 20% amber is the norm amongst most people. Maximum. Some less.

Don't stress as you seem to be in the harvest window from that pic. Can you estimate what % of pistils/hairs are orange/brown?

Hi hippy71 thanks for replying i would say at least 50% are red but bottom buds are probably 30%

Hey dude, no problem at all

Until your loupe arrives your best bet is to just watch the hairs imo mate. If they are all brown BEFORE the loupe arrives it may be time to risk it and chop her down!

If the loupe arrives soon, check the trichs ON THE BUDS AND TINY/SUGAR LEAVES. If you see all cloudy with a good number of ambers, some in clusters, its time for :tang: :jointman: :vibe:

Again don't panic mate, any time soon will probably give you a decent smoke as she's fairly mature.

Hippy71, trying to learn over here. I don't agree with your trich explanation. Like, not at all. Speaking from experience.

BUT! I don't know the science angle your coming from. I'm sure your right because I've never used a cannabis forum or even read anything about growing. I'm sure 'scientists' have pinpointed thc levels nowadays though.

Is what your saying legit? Where can I read about it. Sorry for my ignorance, trying to learn while throwing my 2 cents in. I'll forever say that 50% amber trichs are best though. But that's my opinion :)

I agree
i take of the smaller sugar leaves an have a look under a microscope. Been doing that for almost 2 decades now. I thing the cannabis grow bible (book)explained it.

Amber ore not that's a personal preference. Not a fact.
