Howdy all:

I have been a true closet grower. Now, I have a small tent/small grow.

The tent has the standard 6" port on top with a sleeve.

The fan is a ECOPLUS 6" Axial 120v fan--very powerful for its size. Which ought to be fine with my intake system.

I see different ways of attaching it, but I want to do it properly.

How the heck do I put the fan in securely. Thinking I need duct from inside and then a short 'U' outside the tent. Has a standard plug which is attached per photo on lower left side (wonder how to work around it).

What can I purchase at Lowes etc. to get this deal going.

Lastly, any recommendations on a simple plug outlet for the fan, LED, etc. to be used inside tent and plugged into outlet outside the tent.

Thanks for your time and advice. Take it easy.

Where is that land based squid when one need his keen insight: That is his ability to straightening one out, more specifically--sharing his good practical sensibility and most importantly insightful questioning (e.g. why don't you just put the fan in the port ;)). He use to keep us on our feet--for sure. Now, he is all healed up.

So, A. Smithee now gives himself a lecture: This is my second post that I assumed I needed assistance. I am, normally, a researcher first and a questioner as a last resort. This time I didn't even size up the fan and the tent.

Well, surprise. This fan is full of options. It has many places for different types of attachments and most importantly----fits nice and snug right in the port between the indented circumference on the fan.

Lastly, the plugs. Once again, the set up is simple with low energy output etc. An extension cord and a power strip are fine.

Ok--A. Smithee You have been lectured. Shape up :D. And quite vaping on the forum:cuss:.

sorry just got here. ...I have seen that fan fit inside of a piece of 6 inch diameter duct pipe.( if it fits loose, use a clamp around the outside of the duct pipe).once mounted inside the ducting ,it's no problem to place it in the sleeve, wrap a couple rubber bands around it,..with a little flexible ducting attached at the top to direct the exhausted air. hope this helps

If I understand correctly , your " tube/sleeve" is inside the tent? I always hated that setup , so I pulled my top one inside out . Just hung my fan from the ceiling . Eliminated having to much inside the tent and made it easier to duct . Pretty simple setup that way without the need to add any additional ducting to the fan . Simply mount the sleeve to the inlet and proceed with the regular ducting at the outlet .

the other thing I did with my tents was to seal off the other "ports" since I have a few flaps for air going in at the bottom of the tent . So far it has worked well .

Oh - give a post a few days and the experts hone in. Herb4 and Monkeypox---excellent plans respectively. Thanks.
