New Grower Adventures of a noob grower.

Lowes sells a lot of training supplies including bamboo in their outdoor garden centers, mine is still open not sure if it's an area dependent thing. In my store they are near the pond/fountain pumps.

Sadly lowes is super far! I do have a HD close but I'm thinking if worse comes to worse maybe I can use some pvc pipe I have sitting around somewhere.

Medi do you have any experience with photoperiod plants? ;D

Awesome work on overcoming the obstacles you had dude! Things have really started to work out for you!

Thanks man, I'm so excited now that everything seem to be going well. I have terrible luck though so at this point I'm just waiting for the bad shit to happen because I know some random problem is going to pop up and piss on my cheerios. ;D

PVC pipe will work, no doubt! :Cool bud:

Update!

I changed the res today and now it's at about 800 ppm ph 5.7-5.8. She is looking pretty good. She is trying hard to catch up to her sister and I think waiting 2 more weeks before I flip is the right decision.

As for the soil girl, ;( I'm noticing some burned leaf tips. They turn yellow/brown and die off. All lower leaves, it started on just 1 leaf and then it spread to others. It might be nute burn but I'm not 100% sure. I'm going to wait a few days for the soil to dry out and then I'm going to flush with ph'd water.

I also tried to scrog it but once I put the screen up I realized I kind of made it too small. So I took it off, gonna just let them go haha. ;D

Good call on flushing, man! I had similar problems with my last grow and flushing took care of it.

Thanks wiener! hopefully it takes care of it. The problem doesn't seem like a big one and it's only happening on 2 of the bottom fan leaves. Besides that she is doing awesome. I haven't tested run off ph yet but I think I will give that a go once I flush her. I kinda assumed I wouldn't need to worry about ph too much since a put garden lime in my fox farm and I PH my water to about 6.0 before I water her.

I also ordered another air pot. This one is 1 gallon compared to the 2 gallon I currently own. I wanted something small as I am going to throw in a 3rd plant in my tent that will only get to veg for a short amount of time. I was going to use a 2 liter soda bottle but I figured a smaller air pot would work better. I'm hoping its a lot smaller than the 2 gallon ones because I definitely don't think I have enough room for all those big pots haha.

I don't even know if my light will be able to handle all of this but I guess thats why I got a few extra 23w CFLS ;D

I kind of want to have a perpetual grow going. I figure I can veg my current 2 plants for a total of 6 weeks. I'll add a 3rd in the next few days and he will get to veg for the last week or so of the 6 weeks the original 2 are getting. The 3rd plant should finish about a month after the original 2. After that I might add 2 more plants after the original 2 finish and do them 12/12 from seed or I might just reset the clock and start over with fresh beans and give them some veg time. Decisions decisions! ;D

Pic time!!

Today is day 30 from sprout

The soil one is looking very good bro!
If you're aiming for a perpetual harvest I'd advise you autos, no need to wait for the end of the 12/12 period to put in new plants, did it this summer on my balcony and worked pretty good, not enough light unfortunately for big yelds.
There are some pretty big auto yelders if you're looking for that!
:kusht::Sharing One:

If the screen is too small, you should throw it over the little miss and increase the yield she is gonna give you!

Thanks for stopping by! I don't get many visitors around these parts. It's funny you mention the auto's because I actually just started a Dark Devil auto and I have it in a rockwool cube waiting to pop out. Going to put it in the 1 gallon air pot.

I was just worried that doing an auto with 12/12 lighting would really kill yields big time. I did a bit of searching around and saw a few people got about an ounce when they did it so I decided to go for it. If I got about an ounce from the auto I'd be super happy. It's pure bonus anyway haha.

If the auto goes well I might just buy more of them. If not I will stick to 12/12 from seed or something. Yields are important for me right now. I need to harvest enough to last my gf and I until the next harvest. Currently we are buying our smoke and it's expensive as hell ;(

Sucks because my first harvest I got about an ounce from 3 auto's lol. I messed up big time so I'm hoping this grow goes a lot better. I'm really hoping I can pull at least 2 ounces per photoperiod and if I'm lucky maybe 14-28g from the auto. Those numbers would definitely last us 3 months for the next harvest. ;D

Problem is I have no idea how long I should veg for to reach my 2 ounce per plant goal. ;o

Thats a good idea! I will have to think about that.
