adding cal-mag to distilled water

Also anyone have any experience with botanicare products? :smokebuds:

I noticed that Botanicare's Calmag product had NPK of 2-0-0 while GH had their Calmag product at 1-0-0 so I ended up going w/ GH. Although I'm not saying its the best, it at least has half the nitrogen... I would have stuck with Advanced but they seemed to be too complex for just a calmag product?

Distilled water has no calmag in it and may cause a calmag def if you don't add some in. I'm using the ffnutes, ffof soil and calmag plus in my current grow. I water twice a week and once a week I add calmag at the rate of 1 teaspoon per 1 gallon water. I'm using regular bottled springwater and still find I have to add calmag to it or risk a def.

Thanks bro, I'm also using fox farm nutes and fox farm soil. When you say you water twice a week and add calmag once a week, is that calmag mixed into one of those 2 waterings or do you water twice and then add calmag once all separate? :smokebuds:

I have 5 girls in 3 gallon smartpots and have to water twice a week, first water/feed has the calmag in it,the 2nd watering later in the week is just water/feed NO calmag. Also,if your interested,i also use the botaincare silica blast at 1/2 tsp. per gallon and that is also usedin the first watering of the week with the calmag. Makes the plants super tough/strong.Gotta thank DubV for turning me onto that stuff!

Damn, forgot an important item! When your using calmag-add it to the water first BEFORE you add the rest of your nutes and stir it in good. Seems to blend in better that way.

i like the calmag with my feed because it helps keep the ph buffered when i go heavy on the salt ferts

4th week of veg in coco and my girls are sucking it up ....i'l be upping it in flower to about 7ml a gal.

Yeah I realized I needed to add something stronger in flower, to prevent the def's/yellowing, as well as add some more N in flowering to keep things balanced/healthy, and started using CaliMagic (GH) a couple of weeks ago. The results are really good so far with a mature Candy Kush. The variety General Organics makes (also from GH obviously) is just too weak (10ml per gallon is easily done) but I ran out some time ago and just neglected adding it in flower, thinking the soil sweetener I use when first mixing a pot (Sunleaves dry Cal-Mg boosting powder) would do (not)...got less potent/less aromatic plants despite decent yields at times (due to bloom boosters).
