Indoor AB's latest grow log - Launch of the Badboy!

Hey Andy. Sorry to hear about your small setback. I'm sure your babies will jump back on the train and get going. Good vibes sent your way dude. :wiz:
I really like the tier method the more I check it out and it has worked out for you and several others.
Rock on man.

Thanks for the link Andy. Bummer about the setback, but it looks like it worked out well and I'm sure you'll be back on track quick. Happy Growing!

:howdy: Good lessons learned eh mate? I've had a few close-call reminders myself... always ready to pack up and run! lol... good grief... over a frikin plant right?

:smokebuds: you're a trooper mate... speed karma sent...

Sad, isn't it? Crazy world where it's socially acceptable to get drunk off your ass on alcohol and fall over retching in an alley, throwing up on other people, but smoke a fine round one with your mate and chill in the yard with a BBQ and some tunes and your a damn criminal...

Thanks for the support, guys. It really is crazy to have to be so secretive over a plant. In this case I probably could have gotten by without shutting down, the guys doing the work would have probably never noticed my tent back in the far corner, they probably wouldn't have recognized was it was even it if they did, and they probably would have been cool about it anyway. But all it takes is one guy who has an overzealous cop for a relative, or who has money problems and decides I'm a good home invasion candidate, and I've got a world of trouble on my hands. I have too much to lose to take that kind of risk, and jail is full of guys who could have avoided being there if they'd just been more careful.

What bums me out is that this week it's supposed to be 70-80 temps and lots of sun, so if it happened now I would be able to at least get the plants a good 12 hours of light. But the overcast skies with temps in the low 50s last week basically put them to sleep. They're all 2" or shorter, so I hoped that they might stretch a little, but no dice. They basically just decided not to do any growing for several days. But I'm seeing good signs now so I'm hopeful that they're starting to take off. Knock on wood, but I think the troubles are all in the rear view mirror now. :smoke:

trouble sucks...at least you are able to salvage something. beats losing your freedom any day

I had time to snap a few pics today so I'll do a quick update. Things are recovering nicely from last week's events, though the plants are about a week behind where they'd normally be at day 18. They're growing noticeably larger every day, so hopefully within the next week I'll start to see some female parts. The only plant with an issue is the AKR, which had some weird spotting/necrosis on the first leaves that looks like nute burn (it isn't). But it's also the largest of the lot and the newest vegetation looks fine, so I'm assuming that it's back on track. I have seen a few fungus gnats already, so I soaked a mosquito dunk in my bucket for a couple of days before watering today.

After the cold weather last week, we've now switched to 85 degree temps outside. With the extra lighting my tent temps have been creeping up into the 80s, so I ordered a larger fan to get prepared for what will be coming in April and May. In the meantime, I added a small PC fan to boost the intake airflow and that's gotten things back into the 70s. The only other thing that concerns me at this point is my pH runoff. Watering with ~7 water I got runoff in the high 5s from all the pots. I added a tbsp of dolomite lime per gallon of soil just like I did on my last grow, but I have added Happy Frog to the mix in addition to the FFOF I used before. Doing some reading I see that some people have had issues with HF being very acidic, so I may top dress the soil with a little more dolomite and water with some hydrated lime. Hopefully I don't end up chasing pH throughout the grow...
