Thanks for jumping on board, everyone! I'm really getting irritated with this cold, dry weather, but it looks like conditions will improve later this week. It's not too bad though, as we were down close to 20F last night but the tent didn't drop below 66F. After fighting heat for my first two grows, this is quite a change for me.
Hopefully tonight or tomorrow I'll get everything tiered up into the larger pots. This will be the setup:
AKR - 3 g
PAK - 1.5g
Mi5 - 1.5g and 1g
SR - 1.5g and 1g
BB - 1.5g and 1g
I've grown in 1g pots previously and I know I can get at least an ounce per plant even before adding the Badboy fixture. I want to see if the 1.5g pots are worth bothering with, or if I should just stick with 1g. Anyone who has followed my past journals knows that I grow more for variety than yield. I'd much rather have an ounce of 3 or 4 different strains than a couple of big plants that yield several ounces each. Since the AKR is a fem seed it's going in the biggest pot, and I would like a larger yield from that one as it's the last WOS Ryder strain that I'll grow for a while. As for the others, I'm just hoping for at least one female of each.
I'm looking forward to seeing how those sizes go for you. I am in 3 Gallon smart pots now but I want something that isn't soft as these could really cause problems when moving(If you don't pick it up right it causes an earthquake split right down the middle, not cool.) If you're careful it's all good but I am wanting to get some AirPots. Same air effect I want but sturdy. Still would like to go to a smaller size pot like 1.5 if I could to get more plants. Don't know what is better I guess it always depends. Higher yield in larger pots with fewer plants or more plants in smaller pots? Can't wait to see your babies more dude.
