Cut everything down on day 89 (yesterday). Most of them could of used an extra week as they were still drinking at least 8 gallons a day and putting on more weight but needed the space for new plants coming in. Still see some clear and very few amber but overall the plants matured enough to produce some very large and extremely dense colas in that amount of time. It was nice to be able to take each individual plant off the tray and finally feel how heavy they were. They’ve been locked in place for the past 6 weeks with the scrog net holding them down and I was really curious to see how large and heavy each one actually was. Really hard to tell the size or weight of the plants while they were growing with such a dense canopy and having all the branches intertwined. Happy to see the branches immediately fall over after cutting the net away from the plants… thats always a good sign there’s some decent weight on the colas. Some of them were so heavy they completely toppled over when they were set free from the net. Lol. Two out of the 16 might not be the highest yielders but the other 14 should hopefully make up for them. The two smaller plants are both Purple Kush… one of them was shaded by the larger plants around it and the other didn’t grow enough tops to produce very much in general. Both of them are still a lot larger than the Purple Kush plant I took out of the tent at the beginning of the grow which actually produced 78 grams of some tasty and very sticky bud. Wasn’t expecting that little thing to produce so much and good to know the other two are twice as big as that one. Should be a good amount of quality bud coming out of this grow even though I ended up with a few smaller ones. I’ll be sure to post the weight of each plant and pics of the buds in a couple weeks after everything’s all dried and trimmed.

Man, Imagine if you gave them that extra 7-10 days! But I definitely get it. Really good looking plants in there gonna be a nice haul.

Really looking forward to this Black Strap SOG. Gonna be interesting to see what phenos you get with 19 plants. Lets Hope for a red and purple LOL. Badass Growing as always my friend

That PK is beautiful. It's to bad that PK autos are known to be light yielders. I have some PK beans I need to run soon.

Yeah, I was running out of time and needed the tent empty… as you can see I was out of room in the 4x2’ where the Blackstrap were growing and it was getting very difficult to keep the tops bent over with how crowded it was in there. I was getting bored with the GG-4 grow anyways and wanted to move onto something different. Lol. Got everything chopped down, marked, hung, equipment cleaned up, reservoir filled with fresh nutes and put the new plants on the tray in less than 2 hours. Worked out pretty good.
The Blackstrap are doing well so far. Thanks again! Some red and purple coloring would be awesome, I alway like the ascetics of a colorful canopy. I’ll bring the temps down as much as possible late in flowering to try to pull more color out of the plants. Good that 19 out of the 20 seeds you gave me germinated… I’m usually not that lucky and was worried I wasn’t going to end up with enough seedlings to fill the tent. Might take 3 off the tray if things get too busy in there but from the way they’ve been growing and how large the fan leaves are it looks like this strain might be more indica dominant, which I’m hoping for. Would like this new grow to stay short… had to do more work than I wanted to keeping the last canopy under control with how tall everything grew.

I grew some Purple Kush last winter and they all produced about 80-90 grams but the PK is a smaller plant in general… possibly the Kush in it that keeps it short. I did grow one in this last crop that should produce a decent amount though, it’s plant number 16 which is in the right corner of the back row. One of my favorite plants out of the whole crop. I might have to personalize that plant and keep it all to myself. Lol. I remember you mentioning at one time that Purple Kush has always been one of your favorites. Mine too.

Black Strap will throw colors no matter what. It’s a black plant. Buds will be black. But there is a red and purple pheno as well. Here’s what my Black Strap looked like:
