DEAR DIARY,

A couple more purchases today.
Finally bit the bullet and grabbed a Dehumidifier and an Extraction Kit.
Had procrastinated enough - was even boring myself!

So, purchases completed:

• Grow Tent - Green-Qube GQS1530 - 150 x 300 x 230 ... [waiting for delivery]
  
• Lights - 1 x GroGlo 600w RB+P, 1 x GroGlo 600w P+RB ... [waiting for delivery]
  
• Dehumidifier - TTK 40 E - 14L/24hr rated for room area of 63m³ ... [waiting for delivery]
  
• Extraction - Systemair Sileo RVK 250E2-A1 842 m³/h, Odorsok 600mm carbon filter 1140 m³/h ... [waiting for delivery]
  
• Pots / Medium / Nutes - 30L Airpots, Plagron LiteMix and Andvanced Nutrients [as per TaNg's schedule]
  
• Light timer
• Oscillating fans

A few more things to order; heating and miscellaneous accessories like chains for hanging lights, etc.
But, the back has well and truly been broken on the key items.

Still to decide whether to go for Dutch Passion Think Different, or Mephisto S.O.D.K.

What kind of heating are you looking for?

I've found that my lights is eminently qualified as "heaters".......Add up the total wattage of all your gear, lights, fans, air pumps, dehumidifier and everything else, the total wattage is the amount of heating you have at hand, then ask yourself if you really need more.

Just some minimal "greenhouse tubular heating", like this;

I've found that my lights is eminently qualified as "heaters".......Add up the total wattage of all your gear, lights, fans, air pumps, dehumidifier and everything else, the total wattage is the amount of heating you have at hand, then ask yourself if you really need more.

They're only 120w, and so relatively eco-friendly AND cost efficient.
More of a little 'insurance' than anything else.
I bought them with the rationale that if f I don't need them in the tent, they'll be used elsewhere in the house during winter.

Yeah, I can understand your hesitation!
That, amongst other things is the reason why I much prefer buying things in person from a growshop, but I do acknowledge I'm very lucky to have one close to me, I know not everyone has that luxury. There's also the paranoia aspect lol, I want to avoid as many online purchases as I can, but of course not everything can be picked up in person so I hope your future orders are much less stressful!

I am also lucky to have a very local shop, but that didn't reduce the paranoia of picking up my first setup... it's on an industrial estate next door to an area I work in a lot. It was a very planned, secret and swift mission. Since then I've regularly purchased soil, ona blocks and airpots online. I'll go back to the shop for new filters and lights when needed. I figure I'm small fry and with 4-5 ickle plants, in my countries current austere economic climate, despite the illegality around my way I doubt anyone particularly cares or can afford to be looking. Plus - Fuck them. First setup is a tense and exciting time, building that first tent....those were the daze!

I'm too old, too cynical, too anti-authority, to let some fascist state and its slavish militia tell me that growing a miracle plant is illegal.

Fuel, clothing, medicine, housing, etc, etc, etc ... our forefathers knew centuries ago how incredible cannabis/hemp was ... prohibition was introduced in the 20th Century to provide certain families with corporate monopolies - nothing more, nothing less - and prohibition has been maintained ever since with disinformation, faux-'science'-for-hire, corruption and political propaganda.

Corporate greed to stop the little man providing for himself, to line the pockets of the 1%.
Imagine just being able to produce your own medicine and fuel, and the nightmares tht must cause the Petro Giants and Big Pharma every night. Their fears keep the Lobbyists busy and us the victims of political terrorism.

In newbie words ... this charcoal filter thingymajig for the big extractor sucky gizmo is MASSIVE!
