I've never followed FD's schedule so really can't comment on it. I like to veg mine longer, usually 5-6 weeks before switching to flowering nutes. Personally I'm not a fan of flushing unless there is a need. The general rule for flushing is 3 times the pot size, or in your case, 9 gallons. But that's usually when there is a pH or over nute situation. I would think that 5 or 6 gallons should be plenty to leach out any salts. I always check my pots when I empty out the soil after the grow. I look for white deposits on the inside of the pot. Those are the salts. Normally I see little, if any buildup, so therefore, I don't flush until the last two weeks of the grow.

In my experience, seeds usually take about 12 - 14 weeks to fully mature. If the rest of the plant is ready before then, just cut off anything that isn't seeded and leave the seeded branches on the plant to fully mature.

Thanks Muddy, wasn't sure what to do as his nute mix is per gallon and seeing as i only have 1 plant i've been watering with 1 liter at 1/4 strength nutes which seems to be plenty.Maybe i don't have to flush her as she seems to be happy and all green with no troubles.

your soil is too much dry.....
Thanks for stopping in to check up on one of your seeds turning into a fine young lady! any and all advice much appreciated. Honestly i had just watered that plant the day before i took the picture with a liter of water.May have to bump it up as i didn't get any runoff this watering and the roots are pokin out the bottom of the 3 gallon smartpot. Thanks!

Been a few days since an update and not much to say other then the female cobra is lookin mighty fine! Tomorow it will be 5 weeks old. Lots of bud sites and still putting on some height, actually its doubled its height in the last 10 days.Nice dark green leaves and thick stemmed.Got another 5-6 weeks to go so i'm only halfway there and i know theres many a slip tween cup and lip but shes happy so i'm happy! Pollenated her 4-5 days ago now and haven't noticed the white pistils turning red or brown yet but its still early.Special thanks to Muddy and JM and all the rest who got me this far! I'm still way green myself but feelin more confident everyday. My pineapples got off without a hitch and are shifting gears in growth at only 10 days old. They would have been in trouble a few months ago before i found AFN,learned alot since then and learnin more every day!

Gave everyone their water and nutes-the pineapples first food at 10 days old. The cobra female is smellin mighty fine and gettin taller, going to have to raise the lights again in the mornin. Added a small 200watt ceramic heater by my intake to raise the temps a bit, they been holding at 70-72f,with the heater it bumped up to 75f. Probably should have had that from the start.

Addition of the 200w ceramic heater by my intake was definately a good move. Temps inside the closet hold steady at 79f lights on and 72f lights off and the girls are lovin it. Without that heater i was runnin 72f lights on and mid 60fs lights off. Noticed increased growth just in the last 2 days not only on the pineapple seedlings but the cobra female as well.

Good move on getting the heater. It will add a bit to the electric bill but the increased yield will be well worth it.

I love that veg stage when you're getting that accelerated growth. Always exciting when you see them growing so fast.

Jush wish ida gotten the heater sooner Muddy,i think it would have helped the cobra even more judging from what its doing for the 12 day old pineapple seedlings-their alot bigger at thatage then what the cobra was at the same age.I know their different strains and grow different but it just feels like the rooms dialed in to optimum right now and its showin.Still haven't noticed anything different about the cobra female after pollinating her a week ago now.

Playin with soil tonight and gettin smartpots ready for tier transplant tomorow morning of my pineapples. What a pain,3 different bags of ffof and ph is all over the map. The last of my good bag was 6.7,two new bags came in at 4.5 and 5.5.Tested with 2 different meters just to be sure. Got just enuf left in the good bag for 1 full 3 gallon smartpot, and then it looks like i'm addin lime to the other 2. For what it costs you'd think it would be somewhat close to 6ph,like the bag says lime added to adjust ph,i'm not seein it. The new stuff looks alot lighter in color then the old bag of dark black soil. My cobra female is still puttin on height, been tuckin leaves to let the light get to some of the lower budsites.Noticed what looks like little sugary crystals on the small leaves around some of the buds-not much but just enuf to notice.Haven't seen any change since hitting her with pollen, thought the white hairs were supposed to turn reddish or brown.Smells like coffee to me when i open the door to the room.Almost time for some new pics.
