Indoor A builders edge in grow room construction. Dream room

Just want to say thank you everyone for the nice comments. Hopefully this thread is motivated a few, and more importantly I hope it helped deter people from buying without doing extensive research. Just because someone can grow great under a junk light doesn't mean it's worth the money. Spectrum, wattage, efficiency, coverage, those are the important factors not a proposed equivalent or claim. Efficiency is critical when it comes to growing for personal. Some lights are as low as 15% efficient and I believe the highest are right above 50%. At 50% you can definitely do more with a lot less. Cree 3590 cobs with good drivers and properly sized heat sinks I have read hit 53%.

Little veg room upgrade. Had some dead space and decided to build a little drying cabinet. Also doubles as a handy shelf and has the added security of another lock. Besides cameras and keypad entry this will keep the goods safe.

Another thing I did was upgraded the watering system. I have 2 resivours that pump water to an elevated bucket with an outlet that supplies all the flood tables. There was an oh shit over flow line that ran to the flood table for those forgetful times when I don't turn the pump off. So what I did was ran a longer line and instead of dumping to the flood table it overflows back to the resivour. This will also help in mixing the nutrients.

Not pictured but I also added a screen on the bottom for bud drying. The green lines are for larger branches. The other thing I did was kept the front panel off the ground because the floor gets wet when watering. Since its pitched and rubber there isn't any normal damage but could be to the cabinet. I added a small fan to the top and the elevated front allows even air to enter from the bottom.

I think all that's left is a comfy leather chair and a TV.

Just a grow update, have a combination of Moby Dick, Critical, and white widow from dinafem at around day 40. The seedlings are cream of the crop, more dinafem and big head by headstash. 17 seedlings and 15 more nearing flower.

I'm using promix hpcc

5-7 gallon air pots

Flora duo 2 part synthetic nutrients at 50% and extra calmag and sugar daddy. Last week I had a little calmag issue so I gave a little extra, sugar daddy is magnesium and sulfur.

Couldn't decide 20-4 or 18-6 lighting so I'm doing 19-5

They are under Amare technologies Se-450's. 6 cree 3070 top bin cobs at 50 watts each and 170 actual watts of Cree red, blue, white and IR diodes. In my eyes they are the finest light on the market and fully canna specific. The owner doesn't hide behind vegetable lighting sales and reap the canna growers profits. These lights are specific for the green goodness.

Humidity is kept around 60%

Temps are 86 degrees

Bottled co2 is at 1500 ppm

this is only my second indoor door grow so expectations are always low. My goal is 2-4 oz a plant which should only be limited by my skill.
Last run I averaged 3oz per plant and I had numerous mix ups. Flower nutes to soon, bad nute choice, changed lights a dozen times, endless mistakes but I have learned a lot and hope to be on a better path.

Nah, who needs a tv in a room like that? I haven't really watched much tv since I got into growing. I can spend hours just doing plant stuff and watching the girls. Not to mention hours here on the forum! :)

For only ure second run I'm totally amazed at how much uve learned and the setup u have total awsome keep up the great job

I hear you witchy! TV nah I'll sit in my room any day over that.

Little pressure eh scuba? It's a different feeling now. The almost like adrenaline feeling is over and the plants MUST now grow feeling kicks in lol.

Bailey this is only my second grow but also my second grow room. The first was smaller and unmanageable to do normal tasks. Perfect for 6 plants or so but not 12 & 12 like my initial plan. I have also been through 10 lights in this short time but in the end I think it's all going to work out just fine.
