Hi-
First ever grow and i am not sure what to do next- after a tricky start (you can see some damaged leaves probably by under watering) they are kinda doing ok i think. Did some LST at about 18 days (4 nodes) but now just don't know where to go. Coming into flower i think and am concerned about trying more LST and damaging those sites, but there is a lot of shade and it is like a big bad hair day. Also not sure where to go with LST as there are bud sites here and there- where would i bend to? Should i take some leaves off? Let her be? And when should i move to flowering nutes?

i am day 29 since came through soil on Jack 47 by sweet seeds. Peat/Coco mix, fabric pots, indoors, CFL 250 Blue, Shogun Terra grow, biobuzz cal mag (EC around 1 so conservative on the dosing). Water in at 6.5ph, coming out at about 5.8, I am a serial under waterer which i am trying to rectfiy.

Any other thoughts and/or

Thanks- i have been quite wary of taking any leaves off. But am hoping a few just to clear the light in might be ok. Would you do them all at once ( am thinking maybe to take 8 to 10 leaves across the whole plant) as one shock or leaf by leaf over a few days to minimise the shock? cheers

personally id do it all at once that amount sounds perfect :d5:

She isn't isn't very big. I would just let her grow at this. Something doesn't have to really be done all the time, sometimes better to do nothing.
il also agree with damien50 here also you could leave it alone and it will be fine its really up to yourself how you want to do it im just a bit ocd about these things

Well @Trichome farmer and @FTF_damien50 you are much more experienced than me! TBH all the advice i have had so far has been pretty much 'chill out dude' and seemed to work... so maybe i will try and relax. Should i be moving to flowering nutes now? and also, just out of interest what sort of lights do you guys use? i am trying to research more for an upgrade next time.
cheers

What nutrients are you using? I'm using a DIY Bridgelux build for my lights

when starting out and getting to know stuff less is always more iv never not defoliated just cant help myself :smokeit: when you see pistils coming from the bud sites is when id switch to flowering nutes for lights i use a GN telos 008 led and a 400w hps looking at going full led this year probably get another GN unit if your looking around at diy builds my advice is stick to Samsung 301 led strips and meanwell drivers
or check out
GN TELOS LEDS
CHILLED TECH
LUMATEK ZEUS
or if your on budget look at the mars hydro sp and ts models

I have been quite light on nutes- the soil was supposed to last 2 weeks and have cal mag for duration so i only started adding nutes about 10 days ago working up to full dose this week. I am currently adding Shogun Samurai terra grow, a little cal mag (as there were early possible signs of a deficiency), plant magic evolution as a foliar spray once (planning on weekly so today is second dose), bhudda's tree solar green. I have (but not used) grotek impact bloom a and b (a gift from the shop i tooled up in). Thanks for the light info
