Day 54

Sup dudes, daughter is sick today so I took the day off. Figured I would show off the girls a bit. I had to take out the table I built because the RRF grew into the light and my light could no longer go any higher lol. So I took out the Diavolo so I could examine her in a light other than the HPS. After further review I'd say she is ready to be flushed. Shes begging to slowly die as you can see. I will be flushing next week. Probably do 2 10 gallon flushes during the week and chop her down friday or saturday.

The MI5 is 1 big FAT cola! She looks so sexy. Onyx is looking pretty sexy herself, lots of side branches with 1 big cola. The PJ and La Diva are short and starting to fatten up. Doesnt look like I'll be get any purple color out of her :cry:. And the RRF is tall and I'm not sure if shes going to be able to hold them buds up when she gets fat! We'll see.

Question about Carbon Filter. I've noticed that its not working anymore, stinking up the whole place. Can it not handle 6 plants? I also have the "pre-filter" still on. Should I take it off? It worked good for the first week, 2 weeks later not working. Any ideas?

They are all looking great mate. The fan/filter question. Have you matched them up at all? I mean that a fan is rated at cubic metres per hour, so are filters. you have to get a filter that can handle a higher CMPH than the fan pulls.

Do you have negative pressure in your grow room? I mean are you pulling out more ait than is being pulled in? if you are the door should pull to on it's own, maybe even close with the pressure or if a tent the sides should bend inwards with the doors closed. If you are not getting negative pressure then the air you are putting in is squeezing out the the tent through other means than the filter/fan.

Thanks riz. Well I have a 426 cfm fan with a rheostat on it to control speed. I normally dont have it cranked up all the way cause its loud as shit. But once I noticed the smell coming back I had it full blast for days with no results. I have negative pressure on the tent, the sides bend in when its closed. The filter was designed for my fan, filters ratings are 426 cfm max, so I'm guessing it should be good?

Nice update Truu! Are these filters affected by high humidity? I have no experience, I'm just throwing an idea out there. Maybe high humidity aids in the clogging of the fibers?
Your plants are looking sweet as ever. Nearing the home stretch is a fun time isn't it? Time goes by slower than a bottle of Heinz Ketchup pours.

Hey noods thanks for stopping by man. After 9 hours in the hospital shes good and mama and her are sleeping while I play around. I cant find any info about humidity with this filter. The humidity stays at about 50% all the time. Like I said it worked fine for a week then stop. After reading up a little I think I may have it turned up to high. I may be pulling the air through it to fast for it to clean the molecules. If I remember correctly I had it turned down low at first, then the smell started to come back when I cranked it up. I suppose I will have to experiment.

Thanks for the Idea I'll keep an eye on the humidity and see if i notice anything. And yes I love this time of the plants life! The fun has begun.

i'd give the people you got it from a shout and tell them that their filter isn't coping with the fan. Do this test and tell them you have done it and see if they will get you a free of charge replacement.

You get the fan filter and ducting out, lay the fan in one room and feed the ducting as far away as you can and attach the fan. Burn an incense stick at the filter end and go sniff at the fan end, if you can smell the incense with the fan running at the max filter rating after 2 weeks you have a faulty filter.
