New Grower Think Different, La Diva and BDM scrog......jammage.

Sorry dude I don't know why, they come up ok on mine as long as I'm logged in. Can anyone else see them? or is there a privacy filter that messed with?

"DubV's Peace"

Hey bro, I am not seeing them either. Go to the album you have them in and see if the album is set to private? That would keep everyone from being able to see them but you will still see them.

Thanks Dudes, all sorted now, I was being a tardmonkey!

Thanks foe the :slap: Stickman!

The girls are all looking good this morning, standing tall and reaching for the light. The 10" pots that I used on my last grow were completely rootbound at the end so I've gone on to 12.5" pots but theses ones are twice the height. Because of this the I'm watering with a hand sprayer every six hours or so just to keep the top portion where the seedling is, damp.
I've got my circulating fan going but I've got my extraction off at the moment to maintain temps. My grow is in an outbuilding and it's getting chilly out there!

Your right wwwillie! If we didn't have these forum's to chat on and talk about our girls my head would probably explode!!

Quick update one week on,

Not really much to see in terms of growth, if anything they look a little pale.:stoneslap:

I'm struggling to keep the upper soil moist to be fair but as soon as the roots get going I'm sure they'l all take off! :gthumb:

Anyway here they are. Think Different girls first;

Still on plain water, temps pretty stable at 24c, moisture around 40% RH. As I said they look a bit pale to me but I could be paranoid, the growth also seems to be slow but its early days yet. I think patience is the key here. "Grow & Show.."

Hey jammage, you may be giving your girls a little too much water by trying to keep the upper soil moist. The drooping leaves are a tell tale sign of the leaves being too saturated with water.
There is such a fine line between too much water and not enough. Believe me, I have had to learn this the hard way.

Yes you are right in the patience department, but it is hard at times with our girls. I'm sure you already know this, but remember, right now there is so much more growth going on below the surface with the plant putting extra energy in developing a healthy root structure.

I know that you will do great with this grow!

Thanks Stickman you've confirmed my thought's, I'm laying off the watering for a bit, see if things perk up.

Anytime bro, that is what we are all here for, to learn from each other. :d5:

Just checked up on the girls, they are looking much perkier! I believe they have doubled in size over the last couple of days and they have stopped the droopyness! Still looking pale to me so I've raised the light to 30" as Hazy recommended. I was about 5" out in my original guess but this time I used a tape measure.

I've now placed my SCROG screen in the tent. It consists of a sheet of reinforcing weld mesh with 6" squares which will not be like a normal SCROG screen but a sort of hybrid between a SCROG and Hazy's Caning method. The bars are to far apart to really separate the buds but will provide a good set of anchorage points to start some early LST. The only question is, how low do I place the screen and how soon do I start to train? I've never done any LST or SCROG'ing and I'm a bit hesitant to start, but the I keep looking at Hazy's present grow for instant inspiration lol.

I'll try to get some pic's up before the weekend to show the progress and hopefully the girls will start to get some green on, next watering I'm going to give the soil a feed of molasses and get this show on the road!

Looking good jammage! Be careful not to leave drops of water on the leaves when the light is on as the drop can work as a lens and burn the leaf.

You will have to find out what works for you as far as screen height is concerned but around 8" or so is a good start. I usually start training them as soon as they reach the screen (I keep my screen at 6" since it's fairly small I don't have trouble reaching under), it's good to start relatively early since the stem is more bendy when the plant is young. The trick is to gradually bend them down and not try to bend it 90 degrees immediately as it might snap.
