Yes, I too felt there was a salespitch involved, and I followed him back to his thread to see what his idea was all about, but I still am not convinced that removing leaves is a good thing.:no: How else does the plant breathe? But, his results were impressive........at least they seemed so.
I was just intrigued by the fact you had a bountiful harvest and you went through a defoliation............
If you do decide to try a side by side comparison, I want a front seat to watch!!

we have been defoliating our herb for the last several grows. I learned about the health benefits of consuming raw cannabis leaf in smoothies. we use a magic bullet grinder.
I have noticed that pulling leaf too early in the vegetative growth stage will slow growth and result in an
undersized plant. If you can wait until pre-flowers show before pruning,your plants will love you for all the attention.
growing 8 autos in a 2 x 4 area under t5ho lights gives us enough raw leaf to make a small smoothie apiece,twice a week.
so, I would say that defoliation may not improve yields,but it does yield a benefit all its own

Thanks for the input, hereb4, I didn't know that there were any health benefits from from eating raw weed leaves........So, what are the health benefits? I have RA, and my wife has Fibromyalgia, and if we lived in a state where they allowed medical marijuana, I might have more knowledge on the health benefits. I do know marijuana helps with the chronic pain, but what else does this amazing plant do/

Ok, :coffe: it's Sunday morning and a pretty day out side. It is only supposed to get up to 95 degrees outside today, which is 12 degrees cooler than yesterday.... We have already had 10 days in July with temps over 100 degrees......And the idiots in this country still argue about global warming!! :firedevil: I don't like the way we are trying to produce more oil instead of finding a viable alternative. Fuel cells. What ever happened to fuel cells?
Sorry for the rant, I need to keep the television on the cartoon channel instead of the news channel..........
Anyway, better news is I think my plant is doing pretty good. I am still blown away by how fast this plant grows........Day 28, and flowers everywhere.......
After looking at Billy Wu's plant, and Seymore Buds plant, and Noods plant, I wonder if I did the right thing Lsting my plant.
Guess we'll wait till the end and see.....

I have 10 more seeds I got from Nirvana, I can verify they do send their stuff stealth and quickly here to the USA.....Anyway, they are 5 Northern Lights and 5 Jock horrors.......Autoseeds, of course.....I don't know if I ever will order another photoperiod plant, I have 5 feminized seeds of NYPD, and 5 of Mowie Wowie (yeah I know it's mispelled) And those will take a couple of years to grow a plant at a time....... Especially with the autos in the mix........

Hell yeah! And what about the sun!? And water! But no, they just keep on ripping the Earth and scumming up the oceans. Big Business... Money makes the world go around... And slowly kills us all, but oh well, right?

:smokebuds:You are so right, Noods! I understand wanting money, but not at the expense of our future on this planet! I know unregulated capitalism is as bad or worse as any other regime. They just rule with money, not guns......but the result is the same. In my state, the idiots passed a bill lowering taxes on the rich and raising taxes on the poor! I wish I could live somewhere where people are all able to enjoy life...........but I can't afford to live there.............lol
It's nice to have someone agree with me, I'm married so it doesn't happen too often......

I wonder: when you did your LST, was your apical stem squished flat? It looks like it was, from the pictures. I think it's healthier when it just bends in a large radius, rather than at an angle.

Hi ralenti :howdy:, thanks for stopping in! Am I your first post? Wow! When I first lsted the plant, the main stem (is that what you meant by apical?) was a more gradual bend, but it is almost a 90 degree now. This is my first lst, and I followed the lead of so many others before me.......I think my plant is pretty healthy, so maybe I got lucky if I did bend it too sharply.:thumbs:

Day 32 and buds everywhere! It just blows me away how fast this little lady is growing!
Next photos I take I will use the bic lighter, the international standard when it comes to measuring.........lol

View attachment 103812View attachment 103811 Here be the photofinish plant called priveledge. She is starting to fill out, I also have given her a half strength solution of foxfarm, (hey! I bought the stuff, I might as well use it!) She does look healthy right now and I am using cfl's for her right now.
My plan is to veg her under the cfl's then move her to the flowering (400 watt) area. By then my 60 day wonder which I guess can take up to 70 plus days should be done and out of the way. :thumbs:
